Updated the OP to reflect this code. I wonder if I can cancel my order (I just placed it today and haven't actually logged in) and use this code instead of my $70 off code...
vladgur said:what does evaluation of Vista mean? Do i get a full fledged copy without any update limitations ever?
It means that it's not for production use, which only really applies if you're a business. You shouldn't technically run it as your main PC at home either, but there's no way for them to enforce it.
Software is the full version and it'll activate and pass wga/oga just fine and get updates as well. I'm not sure if you could reinstall and activate if your subscription has lapsed, but restoring from an activated image should be ok.
Wow this is an awesome deal. You get vista home, premium , business and ultimate etc along with office 2007, pro etc plus a bunch of other software titles. Also you can install vista and office on upto 10 different systems - though not for production but for personal use. You can continue to use the software even after your subscription ends after a year.
Above someone stated "You can continue to use the software even after your subscription ends after a year."
Are you sure this is true. It used to be that legally I had access to the software only while I was a yearly member. Obviously with a new software always coming out this made sense to be a member of.
You will have access to the software only during your subscription period - means access to download. You can download the ISOs and burn them on the CDs/DVDs and use them anytime.

TechNet Subscription product keys can be used to activate software on up to 10 machines. * What if I reinstall software frequently, do I need to activate the software each time?
We understand that TechNet subscribers have unique needs, so we have included special activation privileges for TechNet subscribers.
* TechNet Subscription product keys can be used to activate up to 10 machines. * Although you must go through the activation process each time you reinstall on the same PC, your total number of activations will NOT be decremented.
