Guys, this is basically the same discount as the EPP, which is very hard to get unless you know a Lenovo employee who is willing to share their last name and employee serial number known as EPP
Does this code go in the ecoupon code place in the checkout process? I am putting it in but no addtional discount. Thanks for suggestion. Nevermind figured it out. Do we get the fatwallet 6% also?

Might be good in the future. Right now the prices suck.

No, you have to use the link in the OP's first post, they ask for code and you type it in -- that gives you the discount at checkout. Mine only came to 10%, though.

you cannot use it via the coupon during checkout..you have to use the website provided
how are you ending up with only 10% off? i compared prices with EPP and they are both the same, which is 15% off..better than any coupon out there...because coupons usually end up with 10% off
also keep in mind that the upgrades are discounted too..so technically, you are getting more than 15% off than regular checkout
to tyrone: how can you say the prices suck? the prices are excellent..in fact, these are the sale prices and many of the upgrades have also been discounted due to xmas..the time could not be better

Show me an example config that's worth the money. As it is now this thread is a fishing expedition.

the prices seem to be okay... but my T61p config hovers around 1K.

all for $900...that is AWESOME!
fishing expedition?
LOL ... what OS ... what optical drive ... what battery ... I see how you've selectively left out the crappy parts. You can get a much better machine right now at HP with the 30% off coupon.
* • Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) * • Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor T7500 (2.20 GHz, 4 MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB) * • 14.1" WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800) * • 75% OFF Upgrade to 2GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)!! * • 64MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS * • HP Imprint Finish (Radiance) + Webcam + Microphone * • Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection and Bluetooth(TM) * • FREE Upgrade to 160GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive from 120GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive!! * • SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support * • No TV Tuner w/remote control * • High Capacity 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery * • Microsoft(R) Works 8.0
$1192 * 0.7 = $834
less money gets you more ram, better video, better battery, an a dvd burner, and home premium. This deal here stinks.
HP laptop is a toy, with ridiculously bad service. Lenovo (was IBM) thinkpad T is a professional grade machine. no comparison.

LOL...LMAO...how can you compare that children's toy with a thinkpad?? I now see why you are so against this thread...you're not a fan of Thinkpads...which is fine with me For those of us who are serious about thinkpads...this code is a great deal...in fact, the best you can get out there
selectively leaving parts out? you forgot to even say what kind of HP that is..all you gave was specs....I left out parts b/c I didn't want to type it all out...I forgot to mention I configured it with a 7 cell battery and DVD-RW...no selecting out parts on purpose my friend
You can be happy with that HP, but for those who want a durable comp, thinkpad is the way to go
that is a great code. when i checked it against the x61 i was ordering, using the current coupon offer led to just a slightly lower price ~$8. but sounds like the CPP always works. each person should probably check their configuration both ways. thank you for your post
Config below. Sure wish that 30% would stack with F&F.
ThinkPad X61 Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7500 NV (2.2GHz, 4MB L2, 800MHz FSB) Genuine Windows Vista Home Basic 12.1" XGA TFT, 2x3 Ultraconnect II antenna 1 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz SODIMM Memory (1 DIMM) 120GB Hard Disk Drive, 5400rpm Serial ATA (2.5") Integrated Bluetooth PAN Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG ThinkPad X60 Series 8 cell High Capacity Battery

accessories are much cheaper with cpp than USPDECSAVINGS, for example, slim hard drive bay 10 bucks cheaper with cpp. the config I checked, a T61 loaded for business (of course) is about $40 cheaper with cpp.

you are right...the current 30% off x-series coupon is probably the better way to go..but those coupons come and go, while this is here for a while
however, you rarely ever see a coupon more than 10% off the T series
better to check which way is cheaper first

exactly..not only is the base price 15% lower..the upgrades are much lower...for example..it only costs 31 something to upgrade to turbo memory, while it is $50 on the regular site

Could anyone help me with where to get 30% off X-Series. I can only find 20% off on Fatwallet. Any help will be appreciated.
The Contractors Purchase Plan has the same prices as the Employees Purchase Plan.
The 992299 code access belongs to some company and was likely shared illegally. I'm not making a moral judgement here. But the access code will be changed when either Lenovo or the contractor realizes that it has been exposed to the public.
Lenovo won't cancel your order, but take advantage while you can.
BTW, most other Lenovo offers and coupons do not stack with the EPP, nor likely with the CPP.
To get your FW Cash Back, Go to the regular Lenovo website via the FW link. Then search for, and link to the CPP from the regular Lenovo website.

it was actually emailed by Lenovo directly to me...if mods need proof, I can fwd the email on to them....it is for family and friends...and everyone on FW are friends to me =)...so what's the big deal?

With the current 6% FatCash, the Lenovo/fw deal is just slightly better, not by that much. You forgot the 10% coupon (USEDECSAVINGS) for the CPP deal.

Some posts are referring to 30% coupon. What's that. The only thing i see on fatwallet is 20% off + 6% CashBack. Am I missing something here.
Hummm.. perhaps I should not have used the term "illegally". And like I said.. no moral judgements.
Was thinking back a few months ago when a Lenovo employee's access code was shared on a public forum. The code raced thru the internet. I used it too. Lots of controversey, even made some news articles.

the employee codes are a bit more personal since they involve a last name and an actual employee serial number, this is just a common access code they send out...just like the SPP
do you have a link to any of the news articles? I am curious to read it..thanks

Set up a topic alert for Lenovo. I don't know of any current deals on the X200s, but there has been a lot of short term deals lately from Lenovo. There was a great coupon on W series earlier this week, for example.
aznmc16 posted great deal on the X301 yesterday from the Lenovo CPP site with a 25% off coupon. That deal is still alive, if you are interested: Linky
You can get a stripped down X301 for $1181.40, and a nicely equipped model is under $2K.
