Pretty good sounding earphones (ok, bash me if you want), please note that there are two models though.
Model #1 (Sold by Bose, possibly other retailers, comes in a box)
Model #2 (Sold be places such as Circuit City/Best Buy/etc)
I noticed two primary differences between these models. First off, only model #1 works with the iPhone; model #2's plug is too wide to fit. Also, model #2 seems to lose the silicone earbuds rather easily.
nice! I'm gonna try the trade in headphones thing. I have a pair of these already but my dog chewed them up ![]()
Thanks. I had to get some of these for a gift for someone.
I love these things. Came in a nice little case, sound is great and they are comfortable.
Time to hit the 0.99 cent store to get a pair for the SANY brand with dynamic boost to trade in for the $20. ![]()
how is the noise cancelling / blocking on these?
These are worse than the headphones that come with my iPod. Tried these and returned.
I have a set of Bose Tri-Port over the ear headphones and they are great. A friend of mine had me try his tri-port earbuds, and the sound was very disappointing. The earbuds loose a lot of the dynamics of the music. They sound muffled and hollow (all in comparison to the over the ear model). I would recommend the over the ear or on ear models of the Bose Tri-ports if you choose to get some.
These are great earphones. This is a great deal too.
But, from the photo looks like these are older version. The Newer 2007 version comes with Black and White cable and the Older version cables are only black. Please read Amazon review for details.
The newer version can fit into iPhone directly but not the older versin. As someone mentioed in Amazon review silicon tips of newer version has been fixed to rectify falling-off problem. I'm not sure of it as I haven't used the newer version yet.
NOTE: these are the version 1's (originals they call them). The current version is the version 2 (UPDATED) which has some improvements. THe imporved ones are available from their site for 20 bucks more too. Note quite sure the differences though.
I'd go with shure i2c for about the same price.
Thanks OP...got one for me..
how is the sound quality of these compared to shure E2C?

Bingo! LOL, actually any Shure earphone would beat this headphone. Then again, there are a lot of things better than Bose for less money.
To those who praise Bose, do any of you happen to know the technical specs for any of their headphones?
Actually, here's a better deal if you wanna compare headphones to headphones.
Panasonic HC-500 - $91.70 shipped
First and only headphone with 92% (22db) Noise reduction
40 hours of music playback on 1 AAA battery
Can be used as a regulard headphone without noise cancellation
This is considered to be better than the Bose QC3 in terms of price and performance and the sound is very comparable!
Sennheiser CX-300s ftw.
