hi, op

thanks for the deal
but I rather get a samsung 52'' for about that price...

alert mods

which samsung 52 inch are you talking about? the contrast ratio for that sharp is pretty high considering it is a 52 inch and it has been getting high reviews

the 65f series

what is the contrast rate on that sharp??

I think it's 15,000:1.

I have a 52D92U, and it's 15,000:1, and although these numbers are always inflated, I can say has noticeably higher contrast than the more normal 6000:1 LCD TVs.

Although, I'm disappointed in the backlight on my TV. It's somewhat spotty, and the 82U has the same backlight. Usually it isn't noticeable, but "not usually" is different from never.

It's a dynamite TV, I almost feel bad saying negative stuff about it. But hey, there's a few areas where it could be better.

This model 120 hz frame rate so 4 ms conversion. There is not a Samsung with that feature for near this price that I am aware of.

However it is available at Sears.com for $2499 and get a 10% rebate if you put if on Sears Card. Also get 5% Holiday Fat Cash

10,000:1

this is the 120hz model?

and is it the 24fps model that people are talking about too??
