DirectTV customers can get 3-6 months movie package free. YMMV.
Make sure you are really on the penny offer. I was enrolled in 3 months free, instead of the penny offer.
BONUS!!! If you signed up after 4/1/08, don't forget to send in 3 consecutive months of your bill to get a free $25 AMEX card!

Green for OP. It doesn't work, though, for customers that have a "Cinemax promotion currently or during the last 6 months". I just got denied because I signed up for Dish Network 1.5 months ago and am still receiving Cinemas/HBO for another 1.5 months free.
I'll vouch, though, for how easy it is to call and do. The operator did put me on hold for 30-40 seconds while she inquired about the promotion, but did come back with "1 year for $.01 to switch to automatic credit card billing, etc.".

Nice. Thanks. Easy to enact. AMEX even gives double reward points if you use it to pay a utility bill.

Thanx!!! just added Cinemax for 12 months for 12 cents, supposedly it automatically renews itself for another year so total of 24 cents will buy me 2 years of Cinemax... it works!

Are you sure about until 2010? CSR told me it's for one year.

my CSR was well aware of the promotion and said it lasts until 2010 and that each year it will get renewed. I asked if they will renew at the regular subscription price and he said "no at .01 per year"

I just signed up with no problem for 12 months. I also verified that this does not affect the length of the contract you are currently in. I wanted to make sure that my contract was not extended. Thanks OP!!!

Did anyone who already have autopay and paperless billing try for this promo? Did it work? Thanks.

I signed up too. Thanks, OP!
But I was told the promotion expires at the end of 2008. The renewal price will be the regular price, which is different from what some of previous posts reported.

Just got off the phone with them. After the first year, they will send you a notice in the mail. so long as you keep paperless billing they will only charge you another .01/year each additional year you want it. until when? (not sure on that one) but she did mention you'll have to pay regular price if you switch back to papered billing.
note: I already had autopay and paperless billing and there was no problem adding the promo
Thanks OP
