X-Files Ultimate Collection - $165 with FS @ Amazon Archived From: Hot Deals |
Lowest price on pricegrabber is ~$220.
X-Files rules! Wish I could afford even this price though :/ Still, for 9 seasons of a show this is a HOT deal!
The point at which I'll bite is $135. That's 9 seasons at $15 a pop. IMHO, compilations with no added features should always cost less than the component parts. (For the curious, the $15 comes from Fry's selling price in the weeks prior to xmas).

man, I miss it. Love X-Files.
Nice, only 2 left!
Is this as low as the recent Costco box set price? (don't recall the exact total, but I believe is was $50 off)

My costco in hawaii had it for $220 with a $60 coupon off, making it $160. But we got 4% tax so not much of a difference.
I wish it was still cheaper tho, 15 per disc sounds about right.

$15 was a sale price that is rare to see, had tax added on, and wasn't this for the slim boxes that have no extras?
The regular price for the seasons is not $15 a season. Many places sell the seasons for $30+ each and about the cheapest is $22-$25 and that's with no extras.
Considering this comes with the movie and many extras features not present in the current individual season packages and with free shipping and no tax this is a heck of a price. $135 is a bit much to ask for 61 DVDs.

Ahh good point about the extras. I guess I been looking at other tv series seasons, and they've been going for about $15-16 at costco or sams club. like smallville. i think also dukes of hazzard, maybe macgyver? so 165 is pretty good for all teh extras and movie.
