Hot. Maybe the pancakes are but not the so-called deal. Pancakes are arguably the cheapest food to prepare and serve...right up there with pasta. Maybe a good deal for all of you watching your sugar and carbs though. |

I learned years ago to stay away from "all you can eat" things. I can eat way more than is healthy for me. It does go against my Fatwallet leanings, however! |

the waiters/waitresses even though the restaurant was pretty much empty, took FOREVER for each serving.
we literlaly had to wait 10 minutes for each serving.. so i basiclaly got about 7-8 pancakes in like a 45 minute sitting
either it's that.. or it was the ihop i went to
No, this is part of the standard procedures manual. I have a friend who managed an IHOP. The trick is to make you wait so that your stomach feels full. They don't want to bring you a stack and have you eat two bites and walk out -- some people would order a new stack, take a bite, and then leave. Lots of wasted pancakes.
But the irony is that pancakes are very cheap. You can get a box of pancake batter from Costco for $3.20 and that will make over 300 pancakes. The mix may be cheap, but when you figure in eggs and milk, it becomes significantly more expensive (maybe doubled). Still, there's also waste disposal costs involved when someone doesn't finish their meal -- most companies have to actually pay to get garbage service. |

I'd be all over this if the closest one was < 73 miles away. Come-on IHOP, open up in Columbus OH, as #16 on the Fattest City list I think we have the perfect market |

A couple of years ago, I would be posting this from the ihop as I wait for my next stack to arrive. But, I gotta tell you -- imo, ihop regular cakes have gone way down in taste and quality. Maybe I'll give them one more try, not sure.... |

According to calorieking.com.... One pancake =120 calories. I thought it would be more.... IHOP pancake Nutrition facts but, when you factor in syrup and butter, I'm sure I could get it up to 400 calories a piece, easy. |

but, when you factor in syrup and butter, I'm sure I could get it up to 400 calories a piece, easy. That's for a small thin 2 oz pancake. The pancakes at IHOP are more like 4-6 oz each. |

IHOP ALWAYS has All-I-Can-Eat pancakes. I've never finished a plate of pancakes along with my eggs/meat breakfast. |

Im counting down the time until we see results of how many pancakes people have had through this deal...then a price per pancake...just like the people who ate pounds of shrimp at red lobster to get the lowest price per shrimp. Gotta love fatwallet |

depends on the price. golden corral had breakest for like 6.99 all you can eat. i would rather go there for 7 then IHOP if its 5 or 6 and just get pancakes. you could go to mcdonalds and get 9 pancakes for like 5 bucks not that big of a deal
