Thanks OP and thanks for the info on citicards virtual numbers!

Thanks OP.

An alternative to efax may be a new account on eBay where you don't have to worry about cancelling after a few days. I had done this to get RoboForm for free a while back. Created a new gmail account and used it to create a new eBay account. Then placed a $2.00 bid on a digital camera which sold for $175. Got my RoboForm key and am yet to find a reason to log back into the new eBay account.

Edit: You only have to place a bid on eBay, not buy anything. Click on Learn More link on http://merchant.myofferpal.com/fis2injeron6adcazo4absunpf2juvsn/showoffers.pl

I frequently use the Foxit Reader/CutePDF combo to "save" edited PDFs by printing, but occasionally the text doesn't quite render properly, cutting off the bottom 5% of some lines of text. So it's definitely an advantage to have proper saving.

Are they giving out a generic key?

If you got a key already, post the last digit. It may be the same for everyone.

titewad said:Are they giving out a generic key?I doubt that very much since this is not a giveaway. This actually is a purchase where Foxit gets paid their cost of the software by MyOfferPal which collects a commission from whichever offer you subscribe to like efax or eBay. For the RoboForm key I got, it was specific to my name, email address and a single PC license which required activation.

Not sure if this is true. The "Learn More" link shows a page with examples of offers, not necessarily current offers. The details of the current eBay offer says you need to purchase an item, not just bid.

I found a buy it now auction for some info about how to sell crap on eBay (gotta love the irony) for 25 cents with free delivery. You can probably find something cheaper (search for "information" and there's alot of free digital delivery stuff), but I figured 25 cents was well worth the price of foxit. And since I can still use my exiting Paypal account with a new eBay account, I don't need to worry about giving my credit card info to some new company with a trial account to cancel.

Can I use the same key for Foxit Mobile Version?

Just an update -

I completed the efax offer about 12 hrs ago, and just got the pro pack key now. Time to cancel efax!

I wish Foxit would have a feature that allowed us to bookmark a page in a large file such as a big eBook, so we know where we left off last time.

I emailed them, and they said it's not available.

Does anyone know alternative programs that have this feature? Or is there a trick for doing it in Foxit?

question: will this allow me to fill in the MIR forms that this forum always causes me to fill out. My hand writing is not so good, and I would much rather type the info in.

Thanks, sry if ignorant ?

Note that the Foxit Reader Pro Pack does NOT appear to include the PDF Editor functionality. You can annotate, but not edit text in a PDF.

My last post on the eBay offer.

I see that you did well for yourself buying something cheap on eBay.
When I click on the "Learn More" link it shows Examples of Popular Offers.
Language for "eBay New User Signup" offer is as follows:

For new eBay users only, sign up for a new account and buy or bid on any item.
Try it now!
After opening new account, you MUST bid on an item to qualify for this offer.

Just bidding on an item worked for me the last time. As always YMMV.

according to the site you need to "purchase" an item from e-bay. Can you elaborate? I also just made a new $0.99 purchase on e-bay with the trial. Does foxit ask e-bay for account hist? I followed the links from the offer and didn't open new windows, just want to be sure it will work.

Here is a way to save Foxit PDFs without the watermark:

- Download & install Foxit Reader
- Download & install CutePDF Writer (It is a virtual printer that saves to PDF)
- Download & install Ghostscript Converter (Required by CutePDF. An open-source interpreter for the PostScript language and the PDF file format)
- Open a PDF file using Foxit Reader that you would like to type/edit.
- When done editing, click File > Print (not Save!)
- Choose CutePDF as the printer
- CutePDF will prompt you to name the PDF (Save to desktop for easy access to the file)
- EDIT: Exit Foxit Reader (do not save PDF when prompted!)
- Done! Your filled-in PDF has no watermark!

I've been using this method for several years now with no problems.

I tried the above suggestion about printing it to file, and it places red text on the document stating its an evaluation copy. I followed all the directions, and there was no watermark, just red text

The PDF-XChange I mentioned earlier has a typewriter function, which will serve your purpose perfectly. The program is free and has similar functions as Foxit Pro.

update: sorry, I was actually referring to the FREE PDF-XChange Viewer.

Nice find OP! I clicked on the free Quickbooks and free Google offer and they wanted a shipping and handling charge. Also clicked on a bunch of others. The efax trial appears to be the best one.

That is the way how I create my pdf file using Acrobat. Acrobat 6.0 and 7.x has major bugs for Outlook. Dont install the plug-in for office 200x will fix the office frequent crash problem. So, makes those step very important for me when use Adobe.

This seems to be the safest option, thanks to you and OP for brining this offer and telling us on how to simplify filling rebate forms. Until recently when a friend told me, I didn't know that I could print addresses on the envelopes from word. Since then envelope preparation has become lot simpler. Now preparing the form electronically would mean, it is even more faster and less error prone (possibly even less paperwork too).
