Until recently when a friend told me, I didn't know that I could print addresses on the envelopes from word. Since then envelope preparation has become lot simpler. Now preparing the form electronically would mean, it is even more faster and less error prone (possibly even less paperwork too).

Be careful. Some rebates specify that the envelope address not be "computer generated" as a condition of redemption. Most I have completed do not have that requirement, but a FOXCONN rebate recently did specify. (They have a separate thread on FOXCONN rebates, I think, and the associated quirks.)

Really? I don't remember seeing that condition for my recent foxconn rebate, though I remember seeing the condition that you need to write down some additional stuff like the submission id, but not this. May be I did write down by hand.

If you need a PDF printer plugin, the best free one is pdfcreator. It's open source/free software, based on ghostscript, no ads, no trial editions, no watermarks. Not compatible with Vista.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/ (project site)

http://www.pdfforge.org/products/pdfcreator/download (download page)

What ever happened to saving first, then opening the file? Dont need to kludge it through a print driver, that way.

Thanks! In for one... now to cancel my membership!

I got the license key over five hours after registering with efax. Took a while but I got it. Thanks, OP!

An alternative to efax may be a new account on eBay where you don't have to worry about cancelling after a few days. I had done this to get RoboForm for free a while back. Created a new gmail account and used it to create a new eBay account. Then placed a $2.00 bid on a digital camera which sold for $175. Got my RoboForm key and am yet to find a reason to log back into the new eBay account.

Edit: You only have to place a bid on eBay, not buy anything. Click on Learn More link on http://merchant.myofferpal.com/fis2injeron6adcazo4absunpf2juvsn/showoffers.pl

When I clicked on the "Complete This Offer" for "eBay New User", I see this:To complete this offer:

* Must be a new eBay user, not previously registered.
* Must become a confirmed, active user of eBay within 30 days of registration.
* To become an "active" user you must purchase an item.
* Must reside in United States

I still entered the email id anyway, hope to get the key. I haven't gone through their link to sign-up at eBay (went directly), would that matter?

Edit: formatting.

sc0rpio said:Here is a way to save Foxit PDFs without the watermark:

- Download & install Foxit Reader
- Download & install CutePDF Writer (It is a virtual printer that saves to PDF)
- Download & install Ghostscript Converter (Required by CutePDF. An open-source interpreter for the PostScript language and the PDF file format)
- Open a PDF file using Foxit Reader that you would like to type/edit.
- When done editing, click File > Print (not Save!)
- Choose CutePDF as the printer
- CutePDF will prompt you to name the edited PDF (Save to desktop for easy access to the file)
- EDIT: Exit Foxit Reader (do not save PDF when prompted!)
- Done! Your filled-in PDF has no watermark!

I've been using this method for several years now with no problems.

You can also use PrimoPDF to print PDFs. No need for Ghostscript. I've been using it and Foxit and like it so much better than struggling with Acrobat Pro.

For those who signed up for efax, how are you canceling the membership, and when are you planning to cancel? Thanks.

Can anyone else who has gotten their key please confirm this? I really love Foxit, but not going to attempt an offer if we can't edit with Pro.

Also, sort of off topic, has anyone ever looked at free-satellite-network.com? (one of the offers). It says you can download over 2,500 channels worth of stuff, and they have 7-day money back guarantee. Seems too good to be true, esp. when you look at their pricing:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Membership Options:
+ 7 days money back guarantee
+ This is a one-time charge with no additional costs. You will never be re-billed
+ Activation & Software Fee of $19.95 (Non-refundable) is applicable to this purchase.

Get 2 Years of Full & Unlimited Access for only $14.95/year
Get 1 Year of Full & Unlimited Access for only $15.95

From the Foxit Software official FAQ (found here):
16. Can I edit a PDF file with Foxit Reader?
No. Foxit Reader is not designed to edit your PDFs. You will need to refer to Foxit PDF Editor.

Can someone tell me the name of the key file (not the content of the file)? I do received an email from foxitsoftware,in which I was told that "Your temporary key for Foxit Reader Pro Pack is attached." I was also asked to "save the attached key file to the same folder (C:\program files\foxit software\foxit reader)." However, my gmail account simply add the content of the key file to the end of the email body, and as a result, I have no idea what the name of the key file is.
Thank you very much!

I realized a bit later that you just copy and paste everything you see on the bottom of the e-mail. Here is a sample of mine (I used the letters and numbers randomly, so don't try to use it):

You must sign-up on eBay through their link for them to get the referral credit. I will be mighty surprised if you get the key.

You could always try again with a different email id. To be sure your click-through is registered, turn-off all pop-blockers, just in case.

free-satellite-network.com: Search Ripoffreport.com and you will find many references. Its a scam basically. Its kinda fishy Foxit has a link to them. Makes one wonder...

Yes that matters.

Ok, I repeated the eBay process by going through their link, but haven't purchased anything (just a failed bid). Will see a couple of days and if I don't get anything, will try to buy something.

This does look too good to be true Rip Off Report shows 4 complaints about them overcharging people. Anyone have this? Is it legit?
