Great deal.......Tanks

Thanks! 4 boxes of duplicate Looney Tunes checks for $16.25 shipped.

Thanks, a pretty good deal. Got 4 boxes as well.

Be Aware, in the past CU has charged regular price if not a first time customer. must not have ordered checks from them or any of their other associated brands(Deluxe, ETC.. or sites. not sure if this applies.

Thanks, in for 4 boxes for my new checking account.

Prices go up? 2 boxes are $10.83 for me and 4 or $16.XX.

What are the requirements for this? What if you have ordered the checks for your spouse under her name and now I want to order a set for my account, its different bank account and name but still same address.

Thanks!

Checks Unlimited did the same thing to me. The prices are for first time customers only. If you have ordered from them OR one of their differently named companies they will ship and send you a bill for full regular price. I wrote them an angry letter stating I wanted to return the checks if they are going to charge me full price because it was two differently named companies and how was I to know they were the same company or affiliated with each other? I threatened to contact the better business bureau and the state attorney generals office and they dropped the additional charge. But never again will I order from them. Not only that they also messed up my order. I had asked for the checks to have a decorative pattern reflective foil strip across the top and they send me a box with a matte printed design. Costco has limited design selection but their check reprinting is cheap especially during the coupon deals and extra % off because I'm a Costco executive member. I think I paid under $16 for 4 boxes of checks shipped during their last check printing promotion in the passport to savings booklet. My other accounts have free checks from the bank, otherwise I just stick w/ Costco.

All in all I would avoid Checks Unlimited.

thanks for the advice. Guess this is really only good if you are a BRAND SPANKING NEW customer that has never even clicked on their website before. But I agree with you, if the checks are ordered in from their seperate business name, etc, should be considered new because it's off a totally different website.

I ordered from them a while ago through those promotional prices that you find in the Sunday coupons inserts, not off the internet. It would have been totally fine by me to charge me the non first time customer rate IF I ordered from "Checks Unlimited" before and now am trying to order again from "Checks Unlimited" as that would clearly be a 2nd order and not a new customer. However the first time I ordered from some other company name maybe "Checks in the mail" or "Deluxe Checks" or something I forget the name but it wasn't "Checks Unlimited". Then I ordered from "Checks Unlimited." using the coupon price in the Sunday paper inserts.

They sent me the checks (incorrectly w/o the foil design that I paid a couple dollars extra for) AND a bill to pay full price (I think it was $18 per box). Being two totally different names "Checks Unlimited" and "Deluxe Checks" (or whatever it was called) was what I had a problem w/ their business practice. How was I supposed to know they were the same company or affiliated with each other when responding to their coupon offer. They should have also notified me that the price would be higher instead of just shipping the boxes with an increased bill amount. It did state for new customers of "Checks Unlimited" only but didn't list all their sister companies and names.

But yes if the checks are in a different name and account number it should be considered a whole new transaction from a new customer.

Green for you!

I've been meaning to order some checks for a while. Thanks to this, I finally got around to doing it. I've never ordered them online before, so I'm pretty sure I wont run into any of the problems others are reporting regarding the new customer thing.

Also, to those of you wondering why the price is coming out to be 10.83, I'm pretty sure that's the extra price for duplicate checks.

From their website:
One-part Personal Top Tear checks: 150 per box
Duplicate Personal Top Tear checks: 125 per box
One-part Personal Side Tear checks: 150 per box
Duplicate Personal Side Tear checks: 125 per box.

Thanks! I just ordered 4 boxes - it sure beats the price that the bank charges!

Thanks!!!
Just in time.

44, THX, OP, forgot the FatCash.

What is the decorative lettering?

What timing. I just started a thread here for where the best place to order checks.....check out your options.

and for this you give me red on the thread? Checks in the mail Hellyea

Damn! My wife blew it! My name is in there because it matches my bank info. Looks like I am stuck with the pink and purple flowers for a bit longer.

Good deal OP.
People still use so many checks these days? I think bank's bill payment took care of writing checks sometime ago.

Is it safe to get checks printed from a 3rd party. Wonder whether this contributes to identity thefts. I would rather spend a few more bucks and get it from my bank.

I have gotten checks from several third party vendors and I have never had a problem. I am sure there is a risk with anything, but I have not heard of identity theft associated with check companies.

Don't kid yourself, the banks don't have their own "check printing department", they outsource the check printing to companies like Harland, etc. It just gets sent with the logo on the box, but that's about the extent of it. You've been getting your checks from a 3rd party all along!

do you really think banks print their own checks and don't farm it out to one of the check printing companies?

Heh, I think that I use about 20 checks a year since everything is CC and auto bill pay now...

Not to mention that as soon as you give someone your check -duh- they have all the information on your check.

The only way to not give people the information on your checks is to not use checks. It's rather obvious when you think about it.

FYI- If you're dumb like me, the code goes on on the FIRST page after you add to cart... not in the checkout section like most sites.

edit and thanks OP, timing was GREAT on this deal. I've been meaning to order checks for a month.

Perfect timing for me too, was about to reorder through my stupid bank. Thanks, OP!

Who uses checks anymore with electronic payment options and CashBack credit cards?

With the Chase Freedom Visa or Mastercard you can earn 3% back on gas and groceries and 1% back on everything else.

I seldom write a check anymore and it drives me bats waiting in line behind people who do.

Code doesn't work with normal manual business checks. Could have used this. Oh well...Just order 1200 from Costco for about 33 bucks with executive membership plus free deposit bags and deposit slips. You guys could always just use washington mutual bank as they do give free checks now too. I personally use BOFA and they give me free checks whenever I want as we've been with them since the 70s.

Sure wish deals like this included three on a page Quicken checks. Thanks OP

Thanks OP - needed to reorder checks and caught this just in time!

No more cheesy cartoon checks this time around.

The offer is still good - just used it today. Did not expire on 01/30 apparently
Thanks, OP!

Fast turnaround service... I received what I thought was all of my checks about a week and a half ago... and now a second shipment of checks came today. It's like checks are falling out of the sky for me and I've more than I need now! Damn these awesome deals. I guess I'll be set for life if I continue to reside at this address for the next 100 years.

Was in the market for some checks, saw this thread and code still works. Looks like theres a BONUS 200 labels and custom lettering free for new customers.

The code still working as 04/17/08 for new customers.
Thanks OP.
