If this is better and worth the $10 more, I'll go exchange it. that one is $99, the $68 one from yesterday is BE-2300 CPU,isnt it. |

I agree, If only Fry's have bough the old CompUSA retail locations.... That's how Fry's got so big. They bought out Tandy Universe. Anyone remember that. Before that it was just a wittle store here in the bay where you could kick back on the sofas, have a coke and talk about math. Look at the trucks they use. Many of them still say Universe all blacked out. Is it better than the BE2300 deal? Hmmm..... HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!! |

Looks like the $68 combo is little better as BE-2300 processor is 1.9 Ghz with low 45W power consumption. Also the GeForce7050M-M motherboard supports DDR2 800 RAM. viveew said:gpsgps said:ultra399 said:Is this combo better than the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dualcore w/ ECS GeForce 7050M-M Mobo combo from yesterday's Fry's deal for $68? Man, that's a good one. I haven't heard something that funny in years. AMD CPUs are slower at the same clock then Intel CPUs. So a 1.9Ghz BE2300 is about the speed of a 1.2Ghz Intel CPU. It's not even in the same ball park. Also, AMD CPUs are mother earth raping power eaters. Get an Intel CPU to save the planet and your wallet. |

Are they offering the E2200 at the same price in Southern California as well? (i.e. Anaheim, City of Industry or Fountain Valley stores) |

Customer Rep said all they had left were the E2200's, awesome! heres how it rung up e2200 retail 50.95 ecs 945GCT-M 28.04 tax 6.32 total $85.31 amazing 95 dollar processor for 50 bux , I will have to hit up their combo deals more often , this is like the best deal I have ever gotten at frys, I had given up since I always leave empty handed when I go up there. |
