First deal post, be gentle please.

Bought a Canon SD870IS for $229.99 or $244.99 at Best Buy in store. Requires stacking coupons so YMMV.

Here are the steps:

1. Best Buy sale price: $299.99.

2. Used a 10% coupon from the post office (free in the 'Movers Guide package; expires May 31, 2008. Good on Digital Camera purchases over $249. Also can be found here. ) = $269.99.

3. Used the $25 gift card coupon offer that expires February 3rd. (FatWallet Thread and Direct Link) = $244.99

4. (Optional) Use the triple points coupon when you redeem a rewards certificate in any amount. Coupon is here.

5. Total price comes to $299 - $30 (10% off) - $25 (free gift card) = $244.49

Optional: - $15 (from triple points on $244.49) = $229.99

I say YMMV because the two coupons used simultaneously required a manual override by the clerk. But he said it wasn't a problem at all.
This deal would expire at the end of the week when the sale is over.

EDIT / UPDATE: I've now added the receipt online here. (I blacked out a lot of stuff, better safe than sorry, no idea what info on there should be kept private).

I'm sorry that this deal is thought to be unattainable. I have no idea how hard it is, I don't often buy large items at Best Buy. It's just something I thought I'd try after seeing all the coupons, and I had no problems with it. If anyone else tries, please let me know.

Is this advertised anywhere or was it just a local sale? It shows $349 online. I'll stop by the local B&M later today to check the price there.

I've been looking for a deal on this camera for the last week or so.

There is a 20% discount coupon from AAA membership, I am not sure whether we can use it.

Definitely on sale, and I know it hasn't been updated online. I read another thread where they mentioned that the $299 was only showing up in store as well, so I'm pretty sure it's nationwide, they just haven't updated it online yet. You shouldn't have to, but Circuit City is at $306.99 if you need to price match. I printed out CC's ad and was ready to do that until I saw the in store price.

can the reward zone 25GC be used for this purchase? the coupon said it's reward zone for business. Is that what you have? Can it be used with the regular reward zone card? I scanned the coupon thread and no one confirmed

thanks

I found this link for the rewards:

This is the best camera!!! You won't be dissapointed!

Nice price on a nice camera. I wish I could combine coupons at my local bestbuy, or even use them for items not specifically listed on the coupon. The managers there are never willing to override anything though. Especially considering both the movers guide coupon and the $25 gift certificate coupon say, 'not good in combination with any other coupons or offers.' I think I'll still pick this up with the mover's guide coupon, I've been waiting for a decent price on this camera. Thanks OP.

I have a hard time believing that you were able to use all three coupons at the same time. Pretty sure that the system won't let that happen and a huge YMMV on finding a manager who'll do the overide so all three can be applied.

I would love to have this camera at this price. But my bestbuy would probably slap me and laugh in my face, then call the police if I tried to do what the OP suggested. Good luck to others though.

I just got one of these at compusa for $279. Fantastic camera.

I'll try to scan it in tomorrow when I bring the receipt to work.

The triple points isn't the issue (it actually doesn't say anything on it about combining with other offers), nor the 10% off. It's just that $25 gift card. The clerk (not a manager actually), asked if he couldn't get it to work that he would be willing to do the $25 off the order instead of giving a gift card. I told him I'd prefer that actually, so that's what he did. It was $244.99 plus tax and then the triple points coupon.

It was the first try for me, I just walked in, pointed to the camera, said I'd take it and then gave him all the crap, and was out the door in less than 5 minutes.

I can also scan an extra print out of the triple points coupon that I had printed out, if no one else can find it...

EDIT: It's been found. Shows up when your print a certificate that you've earned, even if you've already printed it out (print again and it's there). Huge YMMV on this part; I apologize.

bravos said: 4. Found a triple rewards certificate in my Rewards Zone account online (Link to Reward Zone) which gave me an additional 734 points, or as I see it, $15 in gift certificates. It expires February 11th, and I didn't get an email about it; I only saw it when I logged into my home page. Now that I've used it, it has disappeared, so if anyone wants to tell where exactly it is, that would be great.

This is what I see in my BestBuy Rewards Zone account

Checked the 20% AAA, looks like it's just for services:
Link to AAA 20% for services

So any suggestion other than 10% post office coupon would be suggested.

Good deal though, OP

Just apply a reward card and you will be police free.
The point is not the printed coupon, this deal require shoot multiple coupon at once, Most of cashier are hard headed, if it doesnt work in the system and they will not override it. Unless, you also buy some junk stuff and return it tomorrow to make receipt looks better.

Hi! I'm a total noob, but I've been checking this site for a camera deal like this for just about forever. I'll be leaving the States soon, so would love to get my hands on this camera for $229.99 ASAP. My understanding is that I need to apply for a Reward Zone card and somehow get lots of points (???) and present the $25 off coupon and get my hands on that 10% off coupon from the post office (???)...or that AAA coupon (though it says can't be combined w/ other coupons or offers)...? Not too sure about how to get this done. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks for posting!

$40 worth of the money hes talking about shouldnt' even be available immediately, both are gift cards you are SUPPOSED to get after the purchase.

why not costco for 229 plus 2gb card

Costco is selling for $329.99

Bestbuy does not accept 10% off already on sale item.

Nlezz said: Bestbuy does not accept 10% off already on sale item.

They do take the movers coupon for items listed in the circular, if item qualifies categorically.

Nlezz said: Bestbuy does not accept 10% off already on sale item.

I've never had a problem with them letting me use 10% movers guide coupons on sale items. hell one time i just told them i had one but had left it at home and they gave it to me.

Are you sure it was BB?

Yea, i bring in a moversguide coupon basically everytime i buy something. Just last week i got the 200gb external hitachi drive for the sale price of $132 (normally $172) and then an additional 10% off.

I've put the receipt online here..

If anyone else tries, please let me know!

i don't find this:

3. Used the $25 gift card coupon offer which expired yesterday, but it appears there is a new one that expires February 3rd? (FatWallet Thread and Direct Link) = $244.99

anywhere ... can you please help?

Ugh. The Best Buy website no longer has it. I wish I would have saved it. It was a $25 gift card on a $250 purchase that expired February 3rd. I'll take this off.

Links are all working and active again, if anyone cares.

Went to Best Buy today and tried out the coupons. IT WORKED! The Clerk talked to manager, came back, and discounted me $55(10% for mover's coupon + $25 Instant Gift card). Readjusted price b4 taxes $244.99. Thanks!

No go on both coupons for me. The CSR got the 10% coupon to go, but had issues with the $25 GC on $250 going through. She got a more experienced CSR who tried too, then read the fine print and said that it doesn't allow for stacking. Oh well. Still got the SD870 for the same price as Amazon, but got the instant gratification and some rewards points.

Costco has it for $229? i checked the site and it says $329. (Not $229)

Still $329... I wish it is $229 so I can get money back.

http://www.86photovideo.com/cartviewedit.asp

Saw it here for $235 - seems legit....

Try google it, you will see what the company really is.
