Let me say I love the eee. But having said that, I prefer this. It's more versitle. 40GB instead of 4GB. If you want a keyboard, then use a keyboard. If you don't then don't. It's up to you. It also makes an awesome portable book reader. Something hard to do with the eee.

It would be nice if Best Buy had enough confidence in the eee pc to actually sell it in their stores though. Right now they only sell it on their website, which cuts out a huge market of people who like to go into a store and check it out or discover it for the first time if they don't make it a habit of browsing items on their website.

It's not confidence, it's prudence. There's just no need to have it in store. Asus sells every single eee they make. So why ship it to stores, so that they can just sell out and then have none in store anyways.

Yeah, Nintendo should do that with the wii too.

would have been a perfect christmas toy.. portable dvd library, slingplayer, Skype, carputer, gps screen... wish i were in the southern houston area. wouldnt have let this guy get home on 2 legs with 8 of these

my friend is using his for on-line chat only (since is so small and easy he can chat on messanger while on the can)... that's about it

Vista is highly NOT recommended on the Q1. Its so slow because 1.8" 4200rpm hard drive.

Install XP on it and it runs great.

Dude, go check out the tips and tweaks forum. The dudes there have a list of things to make vista way speedy. Some even said that they came back from XP to Vista because it runs so well if tweaked.
