Illy has a coffee club that includes a Francis Francis X5 espresso machine. Initial outlay is $150 + $25 shipping for the machine. That includes the machine, cups, saucers and 4 cans of coffee. After the initial purchase they require the purchase of 4 cans of coffee a month (roughly 60 bucks), however you can get the coffee price down and save on shipping if you order more.

THIS AINT CHEAP!!!

However I know people that spend more on coffee than this, and if you were looking to spend 600 bucks on an espresso machine anyway.....

Yes the machine is cheaper at places other than Amazon.. just added the Amazon link for reference.

A woooooorrrrrld of difference between a Nespresso and a real machine like a Francis. If your espresso consumption is measured in acre-feet, this deal might be for you. But I'd also guess that you might want to put a lot of research into the machine and not get the one that comes with the club subscription, even if it is pretty good.

I don't know if this is a good deal since you have to order $60 worth of coffee a month, and that doesn't even include shipping. You have to order $70 or more to get free shipping, so that's $72 x 12 = $840 for the year + the initial $175 = $1015 for the machine + 72 cans of 8.8oz illy coffee. I guess if you can eBay the illy cans it would be worth it. But that's alot of work for a $649 espresso machine.

only benefit is if you are selling the coffee at a coffee shop

Illy coffee is pretty good, but 4 cans a month?

Anyone tried a Pre-Paid CC on this offer?

Are there any other coffee club offers out there? This is just too much coffee for me.

I'm sure they're familiar with people like you and take measures to combat that.

To their defense it is Illy, widely considered to be one of the best European imports.

Big Deal.

Yes, I drink Illy about 3 times per week (expresso)... but still its not worth $20lb. I pay about $12 per can in Canada.

But then again for people "like you", it may be well worth it.

Im not sure that youre doing the math right on this deal. The requirement for the subscription is 4 cans a month or 48 cans a year. If you order them 6 at a time the you get free shipping...so thats 48/6 = 8 purchases. 8x$72= $576 plus the original $175 gets you to only $751 total for a years worth of coffee and a $600+ machine plus cups. at 3 bucks a piece with tax and tip thats only 251 cups of coffee before its paid for. I drink two cups a day myself. And once your year is over amazon.comhas the coffee for 13 bucks a can delivered ($13.11 cad).

I know people that have their Illy coffee delivered anyway so its not that unheard of. Its not really a deal for me but if we only posted the deals we were only good for ourselves then this wouldnt be that much fun now would it.

FF are not a good espresso machine - they are not as good for espresso as they are good looking - bottom line: do you want the looks or you want an espresso! Good luck!
