In for 2 tons of steak for $126... Woot - Great FIND OP Id give you big green flag but I don't know how.

ordering process down? i suddenly click on an item and can't add to cart

Great deal if only I were able to add it to my shopping cart

When I first clicked on the link, I was able to add things to my cart... I then went back and couldn't.

Anyone have a solution?

Warmly,

beaglette

Anyone order from them before? If this is just another Omaha Steaks, I can go to bed without sweating it.

Thanks OP. I live in Guam and beef is EXPENSIVE!!! In for $100 worth.

anyone notice the payment page doesn't show any security?

PD

even if it were, 18 (x2) ribeyes + 7lbs ground beef for 104 shipped isn't too bad.

luckily I had a couple of items in my cart before the Add To cart disappeared. i adjusted the quantities accordingly to get >100 for free ship.

we'll see if it goes through.

from their home page...

sheesh, these guys are fast to respond to a web problem.

Drats Cart seems to be down.. Well I will try this in the morning... They have great meat! I've tried before and really liked it. at thouse prices hard to go wrong.. Thanks OP

In for $140 worth of meat. If it doesn't work out my dogs are going to be happy.

Thats $3.33 @ lb for the ribeyes. Quite the deal!

For those that have never had organic beef you should note that it is usually a bit leaner. Steaks usually do not benifit from this as marbling is crucial to a great steak. Of course at $3.33 @ lb you really can't go wrong here. I hope the deal is still around tomorrow at noon when they bring their system back up.

Thank OP - Pulled the triger and got the beef!! Red Meat = Green for You!!

buying food from a 'going out of business' company is like buying a hard drive from a bankrupt manufacturer.

It doesn't let me add items to cart...

what else is expensive out there ? Got a cousin going out to Guam because of the Navy. What should I send him ?

Do the carry pickled pig lips ?

Hmm, only thing I can find to buy is ground beef. Everything else sold out or something maybe?

EDIT: Hmm, from other posts I see maybe it's just thier sites having problems. Ah well.

What grade is their beef? USDA Select, Choice, or Prime?

or having to read posts from someone with nothing good to say?

"wooohoo cheap meat" -hjs

I think it said "USDA Organic".

Very good ? - did anyone tried their meat before?

Grass Fed organic beef doesn't taste that great. If they've been fed corn or barley, YUMMMM

Sure, but just pickle them yourself and save some real money

Wasn't this the company that had a whole bunch of the beef recalled for E. Coli problem in late 2006?

GeekOnDope said: Wasn't this the company that had a whole bunch of the beef recalled for E. Coli problem in late 2006?Yep, just researched it, thanks for letting me know, I was about to buy.

Sorry but you have to be pretty brave to buy from a company going under... Who are your relatives going to sue when you die from eating the meat left in the freezer a few days after the electric gets cut off before they get around to sending it out to you in a nice brown paper box since they ran out of those nice ice chests long ago... The list goes on.

Just kidding but really I just can't get past the feeling that it's not a good idea to order, I would be getting pot luck.

Sweet. A MAD sale on COW.

They have to scramble to find whatever that's left in their freezer. Nice!

that's just my opinion... I wasn't trying to knock down the deal or the OP.

I think FW taught me to be frugal (in a smart way), but when it comes down to food I don't want to take ANY chances... especially with raw meat products. You really have to ask yourself how can a company that provides American staple go out of business?! And did they have enough money to even properly preserve their foods all these months? If I am not mistaken these are packaged and sealed to last for a year or two... who knows when these were "manufactured?"

usadaytrader said: Grass Fed organic beef doesn't taste that great. If they've been fed corn or barley, YUMMMM

Not true and corn fed is not organic since most corn is genetically altered

Please post your references.

Don't order the ground beef and you should be safe.

"post your references???" I didn't realize this was English class.

Off the top of my head, I'd say his reference is the World Wide Web.

That being said, google it, and you'll come across results similar to these.

No thanks necessary; I enjoy helping, one lazy FW member at a time!

I know it sucks when a hard drive goes bad, but I would choose that over food poisoning any day.

Well, our order arrived. Packaging was excellent - everything individually vacuum wrapped and frozen solid in a large and well made cooler that my husband is going to use on his boat. The meat is excellent. To those who decided to make their childish remarks - eat your heart out. Definitely the best deal of the year to date as far as I am concerned.
