Ok I just got one for -30% display and -10% for signing up for a Target card. Man im so glad i never signed up for one till now! Total was $367 w/ 3yr warranty.
I got this in Austin Texas Capital Plaza Target. The lady said it just gone on sale the day before. Sooo...if your in Texas or Austin...start looking for this TV.
This is for my parents who have nothing but a big aluminum/metal antenna outside the house. NO cabe NO Satelite. They get around 15 Analog and Digital (HD) channels. They are verry happy with it. So if you were worried about that like i was, there is your answer.

I hope you didn't sign up for the card just to get this discount. You can easily get a $100 bonus for signing up for other better credit cards with better rewards...Good deal OP, I'll check my local target for this

Your right. I could have gotten a better deal w/another CC. I could have looked for a CC deal, fill out an app. Wait to be approved...wait for CC # to use....go back to Target...oh wait! Someone already bought the Display model
...and thats is why i just went ahead and took the Target CC deal.
Seriously tho..My credit is great...ill just payy this card off and cancell it...Im 24 and got plenty of time to build credit.

congrats on the tv. My advise is just keep the card dont cancel! it will drop your score by a bit.
Picked up 2 north OKC, memorial and penn. Bought the Display for $347 and a new one in the box $497 . Went ahead and did the target card. Total with tax on both came to around $ 850 with the 3 year warranty on the $347 tv. Very nice deal.
mlfa said:Forgive my ignorance, but I look at this set and the sign on the display said 720p and the other sign said 1080i? Please enlighten this grasshopper
You need to read up on HD formats. This one can do both. What it can't do is 1080p

so let me get this straight...you rather save $35 now over getting $100 in like 3 weeks? You could have bought the TV and applied for a credit card when you came home...lol...and don't cancel the target card, you already took the inquiry hit and closing it will only hurt your average life points towards your credit score and decrease your overall limits.
not sure why peeps are buying this unit. it's really not that great of a price, especially when one can get a 46"er from BB for the same price. Must be a lot of SD people buying these?
geez....this thread is about a clearance tv at Target, not the controversy over whether the target cc is a 'good deal' or not. Save that for the financial forums.
Congrats op, on finding a great deal on a decent tv. Thanks, too, for not burying it in that abyssmal target clearance thread.

So where can you get a 46" lcd for $497 , or display for $347 ??? for a 5k senior member, your not very smart .now...are u. Do you actualy even read the thread, or just here to post anything negative you can.
Does anybody have info on the image quality on this unit? I went to Target in san diego and found 3 there, but the one on display seemed to have quite poor image quality as compared to others next to it. Blurry, and poor detail on faces, etc. I don't want to be a downer for those who have already bought it, but i was wondering if it was not adjusted correctly or something.

One cannot get a 46" LCD for under $500. If 'quaker is referring to the BB thread where one buys a TV with a bunch of add ons and then returns all the add ons (i.e., fraud) to arrive at a net price of ~$500, then the comment is still ridiculous, as that is a multi-step process and this is a straight-up deal.

Not sure how that's fraud, maybe if you used a fake receipt, but I'm not a Senior member either... It may not be the most ethical thing, but that's an opinion, saying fraud is a lie.

I am watching prison break on it right now and it has a awesome pic. I can not tell the diff between this and my 37"lg. Its has a great pic , excellent color, deep rich blacks, very nice for the price. I think the contrast was 1200 1 and the 2 hdmi ports made it that much better.
