Magnavox 32"

DPCI: 008-09-0576
ASIN: B000OWNQM8

This is (mostly) nation wide as of today.

This Magnavox 32" LCD is now gone clearance for $497 down from $649. And like most electronic things at Target you can pick up the display model for 30% off making this TV a slick $349! Add on the Target RedCard 10% discount for an additional $35 off making the final price $315

Don't for get to add on the 3 year extended warranty for only $29!

I picked up one at teh Clark, NJ store. They still had the display so...go for it

Ok I just got one for -30% display and -10% for signing up for a Target card. Man im so glad i never signed up for one till now! Total was $367 w/ 3yr warranty.

I got this in Austin Texas Capital Plaza Target. The lady said it just gone on sale the day before. Sooo...if your in Texas or Austin...start looking for this TV.

This is for my parents who have nothing but a big aluminum/metal antenna outside the house. NO cabe NO Satelite. They get around 15 Analog and Digital (HD) channels. They are verry happy with it. So if you were worried about that like i was, there is your answer.

I hope you didn't sign up for the card just to get this discount. You can easily get a $100 bonus for signing up for other better credit cards with better rewards...Good deal OP, I'll check my local target for this

Your right. I could have gotten a better deal w/another CC. I could have looked for a CC deal, fill out an app. Wait to be approved...wait for CC # to use....go back to Target...oh wait! Someone already bought the Display model

...and thats is why i just went ahead and took the Target CC deal.

Seriously tho..My credit is great...ill just payy this card off and cancell it...Im 24 and got plenty of time to build credit.

congrats on the tv. My advise is just keep the card dont cancel! it will drop your score by a bit.

Picked up 2 north OKC, memorial and penn. Bought the Display for $347 and a new one in the box $497 . Went ahead and did the target card. Total with tax on both came to around $ 850 with the 3 year warranty on the $347 tv. Very nice deal.

Forgive my ignorance, but I look at this set and the sign on the display said 720p and the other sign said 1080i? Please enlighten this grasshopper

You need to read up on HD formats. This one can do both. What it can't do is 1080p

he doesn't necessarily need to read up on hd formats. there are
some sets that only do 720p and not 1080i. what he asked was a
valid question.

so let me get this straight...you rather save $35 now over getting $100 in like 3 weeks? You could have bought the TV and applied for a credit card when you came home...lol...and don't cancel the target card, you already took the inquiry hit and closing it will only hurt your average life points towards your credit score and decrease your overall limits.

not sure why peeps are buying this unit. it's really not that great of a price, especially when one can get a 46"er from BB for the same price. Must be a lot of SD people buying these?

geez....this thread is about a clearance tv at Target, not the controversy over whether the target cc is a 'good deal' or not. Save that for the financial forums.

Congrats op, on finding a great deal on a decent tv. Thanks, too, for not burying it in that abyssmal target clearance thread.

$349 seems like a good price for an LCD to me, but maybe I just missed some hotter deals.

So where can you get a 46" lcd for $497 , or display for $347 ??? for a 5k senior member, your not very smart .now...are u. Do you actualy even read the thread, or just here to post anything negative you can.

Does anybody have info on the image quality on this unit? I went to Target in san diego and found 3 there, but the one on display seemed to have quite poor image quality as compared to others next to it. Blurry, and poor detail on faces, etc. I don't want to be a downer for those who have already bought it, but i was wondering if it was not adjusted correctly or something.

I agree, what an annoying, idiotic post without any details to back it up. One cannot get a 46" LCD for under $500. If 'quaker is referring to the BB thread where one buys a TV with a bunch of add ons and then returns all the add ons (i.e., fraud) to arrive at a net price of ~$500, then the comment is still ridiculous, as that is a multi-step process and this is a straight-up deal.

Not sure how that's fraud, maybe if you used a fake receipt, but I'm not a Senior member either... It may not be the most ethical thing, but that's an opinion, saying fraud is a lie.

I am watching prison break on it right now and it has a awesome pic. I can not tell the diff between this and my 37"lg. Its has a great pic , excellent color, deep rich blacks, very nice for the price. I think the contrast was 1200 1 and the 2 hdmi ports made it that much better.

So now I'm a liar…

I'm not going to get in a ridiculous argument about this. There isn't anything real hard to figure out about the BB deal and it's moral/ethical aspects. One's conscience is a good guide.

Anyway, back on topic, I think this is a good deal potential and I'll head to Target soon and see what I can find.

I don't know who the idiot is that said you can get a 46" at BB for this price or one w/ an additional 30% off at $350 at BB. I may not be a senior member, but I do have enough common sense to realize that this is a pretty good deal. I just picked one up at a Target and it was a display model so I got it for $350. I have been keeping an eye on the LCD tv for quite a while now and this was enough of a deal for me to take a plunge because it is well worth it for $350.I was even more amaze when I saw it in store because I like the glossy black look. Please people, think before you make stupid comments on fatwallet.Love this site since I have gotten so many good deals from here.

can we do a 110% pricematch at any stores? any idea anyone?

Went to my local store and all they had left was the display...actually looked pretty good. The salesman told me they gave 15% off for the display, not 30%. Is the 30% pretty standard? I'd be all over it for $350, but $425 doesn't seem as hot.

I did not see QAM as a tuner option on it?
Just highlighting, in case someone wants to use with a basic cable or something...

NKSK said: I did not see QAM as a tuner option on it?

I just looked at the box again. On the outside of the box in huge letters, It says it has a ATSC/QAM tuner option. The more I go through the menu, the more I am impressed. It has a ton of options. You cant go wrong at the right price.

I also went to my local store and they told me it was 10% off for the store display. I called two other places to verify this and they quoted 30%, maybe even 40% depending on the condition of the store display. Just wondering if the discount off the store displays is a storewide policy or up to the discretion of the manager?

Also, one of the locations that quoted the 30% said that they would only sell the display model when it was considered "clearance", or basically the last one they had in stock. Is this true? Have any of you had any luck in requesting the display item even though it wasn't the last one in stock?

Thanks in advance.

TY for confirming what I found. BTW...if it's the last one in stock, just buy the rest of the boxed ones...then come back a couple of hours later and get a deal on the display, and then return the boxed ones

picked up one at local Target in Allen Park MI for $365 included 3yr warranty+tax, floor model 30% off. thanks OP

rbraden said: TY for confirming what I found. BTW...if it's the last one in stock, just buy the rest of the boxed ones...then come back a couple of hours later and get a deal on the display, and then return the boxed ones

No no no. Buy ALL of them, and return the boxed ones or sell them on Craigslist or eBay. If you leave the display, it'll be gone.

the 46" LCD for around $500 deal was from the HDAdvantage trick at BB (posted under Hot Deals..search for it if you're clueless). I'm not sure if it still works, but I pulled off two 42" 1080P Insignia LCDs for $499 each back in november!

Yup, great Tv. Looks really good when hooked up to an HD source. Best deal for a 32" name brand around IMO. Thanks to whoever started this one! The target clerk was made when I discovered and told me he would have bought it if he had known it was the last one!

Good deal, confirmed in Gaithersburg MD store, $315 OTD. The guy that sold me one did not notice another box with the same TV sitting on the shelf underneath so if they open the box to display the unit it will be a brand new display model, good luck getting it.

I am planning to get my LCD installed to wall. Can anybody please suggest what kind of cables I need to run thru the wall before installation? I know I need one HDMI, but not sure what other cables I needed for future use..

I picked a display model up this morning (appleton wi) gave me 30% off .. I think this is standard... $347.90...call back and talk to a manager

The difference between this and the BB deal is that you bought this LEGIT. The BB deal is for cheapos with little regards to morality or self-respect. If you read the instructions on how to get the deal, it clearly states that you must return item(S) after buying from a package deal. Money is nice to have, things are nice to have.. but for me, morality and self-respect comes before money or things. Btw OP, great deal.

Anybody using this as a computer monitor---if so is it any good?

TIA,
UB

Back to $649?

I'm thinking of checking this out on the way home. One question though..has anyone considered the amount of hours the display models have been on in the store? I always thought the rule of thumb is to buy new almost regardless the differnce.

I'm not saying one is better than the other, but just wanting to hear thoughts...

I was only offered 10% off on the display model and it didn't even have any cables or the remote! I got the feeling that the percentage off is at the clerk's discretion, and not the store policy. The clerk said, "I think 30% off would be too much of a discount. I'll give you 10% off." I will go back tonight to talk to a different clerk and try to get more % off on the display. Unless the previous clerk already bought it for himself...

Good rationale;

No one will think twice when they see me with flat screen TV boxes in the the grocery section...

no those black domes are not cameras watching your every move. Especially when you're carrying 4 32" LCD TV's. And even if that worked the manager would be smart enough to check the computer for stock first right?
