Not necessary huge YMMV. At the other web site, a lot people post that they got those drivers at the same price or similary price. The store I went has at least 30 of each on shelf.
The links posted above will work to search your area if you remove the "&sourceId=1186003682727" from the links provided. It shows the WD120 is available at 6 stores within an hour of my zip code. Not bad at all.
Thanks OP!
Actually, so is the Seagate. I'm curious if the price is the same at these stores local to me. I'll have to check it out.
They aren't on the website. BB had several "manager's special" clearance items last time I was in.

I can CONFIRM the Seagate @ 27.99.
The WD was ringing up at 80-something
This was at the Compton, CA store. I took the last two on the shelf, and while I was talking to the cashier, I asked her how many more she had in stock. Long story short, I got them to put the ones they had in the back on the shelves.
There are at least 4 more of these drives on the shelves right now. Get yours while you still can.
This store is VERY new, and is staffed by young people around my age (20's) from around the neighborhood. Most are not real tech-savy. I asked someone to ring-up the two drives to check prices, my casheer, and a customer service rep took a look at the price on the Seagate, and no one batted an eye or even seemed to care at the price.
Even they don't know it's a deal. No Geeksquad in the building to steel these drives either!

If I remove the "&sourceId=1186003682727" from the link, the BB site reports that their store locator is not working, "try again later".
Thanks OP in for a couple! Weird thing is that no all the BB stores have the $29 price. (I know I committed a cardinal sin, but I had to call...)

Well there's 3 BestBuys in my area, all in opposite directions and all about 20 minutes away. I'm not driving to each one to see if they have the deal. Turns out that only one of these three stores had the price.

gonna check out the WD at a local store. But stores in san diego hardly ever have these sales, everytime I go in they're full price. But I want a HDD for my PS3.

Noob question, but can you install the 2.5" SATA drive inside a desktop computer without any new wiring?

will changing your PS3 HD void your warranty? does this HD work for the 360?
LongN said: will changing your PS3 HD void your warranty?
nope - the ps3 manual even describes the process of how to upgrade the hard drive.

You can really install this 2.5" HDD in a desktop without any new wiring? Desktops use 3.5" HDDs, wouldn't you need an adaptor to make these 2.5" notebook HDDs work in a desktop?
Is this low price for these only shown at the register or actually written on the product at the shelf???
Early morning, need to go to sleep now. But I'd better head to my BestBuy later today, website shows both are in stock at my store!

If you are asking about PATA/IDE drives, then that's a whole different story.

The only thing you would need are mounting brackets and a SATA power adapter if your PWS doesn't have one

I was in a San Antonio BB last week looking for an external drive for my parents and strolled by a WD SATA 2.5" for about $56. I was specifically looking for external drives and had forgotten about this deal so I didn't make the connection, but my guess is that it was the 120GB from this thread.
If I had been thinking about it, I would have had the blueshirts scan it to see if the price was really lower, but the only thing that clicked in my head was "$56? That's a pretty good deal for that drive" and then I moved on down the aisle.
