By request, I added the this BestBuy thread to the Rolling Thunder updater
with special thanks to the original thread owner ... PresidentGringo

There seems to be quite a few deals right now at Bestbuy so i thought it would be a good idea to combine threads and have 1 thread showing all the deals. That way, when we go to Bestbuy to check out a deal, we can check out all the deals and avoid multiple trips and possibly lose out on the deal.

I've tried to add the deals i found on the forum, and a few that i found myself while walking the aisle.

FYI on the use of tildes to add items to the summary section.

Suggestions from others

In case you are looking to add clearance items to this thread, please consider using the tilde marks before and after every single line. Putting a single tilde at the beginning and one trailing the list of items seems to remove the carriage return for each line.

This next recommendation is just from my experience with the Target Clearance Thread. I like to put the item description first since Rolling Thunder sorts the contents of each day alphabetically. Most people are more familiar with item descriptions than BB SKU #. If the reader is still interested after reading the item description, the next question is normally "how much?". And finally, "how can I find it?" See example below, and again its just my $0.02.

What the heck is Rolling Thunder?
The last script upgrade I nicknamed "Rolling Thunder" because it automatically trims back the summary lists to last 30 days. Hence, instead of having to start a new thread each month this one just keeps rolling along.

SKU Search
Defaulted to a 750 GB Hard Drive - just change the numbers after "skuId=" (at the end) to find whatever you want. - DealsBrokeMe
Search will only be accurate if you provide skuId & productId & itemId in the store search url above. If all 3 IDs are not provided, it will always say available!
Searching may not represent available stock... the web site is usually the last to get updated on supply changes.

"Available Online Only" Search
The SKU Search will not work for "Available Online Only" items. For a somewhat cumbersome but successful way of checking the inventory of "Available Online Only" items see the referenced post.

The only reason I'm still running is the ability to run in "Classic" mode, otherwise I would have made the switch due to the new format. BTW, you are not the only one to make that suggestion.

Thanks OP! You may want to be clearer with the inventory check. If you do not provide the "&itemId=" tag with the actual Item ID number, you will always get false positives. As expressed in the third line quoted below, "If only skuId is provided, It will always say available!". Folks may just click the link below without reading the rest of what's quoted. Thanks for starting this thread!

Searching may not represent available stock... the web site is usually the last to get updated on supply changes.

Search will be accurate if you provide skuId & productId & itemId in the store search url above. If only skuId is provided, It will always say available!

The problem with BB which seems to be doing alot better with clearance merchandise is that there is nothing universal about the pricing. You can go to 5 different stores and each one might have a different price for what is on clearance. Nice idea for rolling thunder though.

i agree completely. though some would disagree and say there are national/universal markdowns, which is hard to believe since there is always someone who says "marked/scanned" differently at my store. the only thing universal are the sales you see in their weekly ads.
