This seems to be a decent saw. Regular price is $499. Lowe's has a promo $100 Lowe's gift card when you buy this saw. Rebate prints at register or print here Rebate form
Promo details: Hitachi Stationary Table Saw $100 Gift Card - Purchase a Hitachi C10FL Stationary Table Saw (item 159372) to receive a $100 gift card. Start date 2/1/2008 End date 4/30/2008
I guess you can buy online, but this thing is 236lbs.
It will be $399+TAX on $499 or $349+TAX on $499 if you have a 10% Lowe's coupon (many on eBay) 2 Years Hitachi Warranty.
You should update the title to reflect the actual deal - buy a $499 saw and get a $100 gift card to buy more stuff in the future. It's not like you're getting $100 Cash Back.

Thank you. I was reading thru the postings to see if that was the actual deal.

Tend to agree on Bosch table saw -- did extensive review searches last Spring and went with the Bosch 4000 series -- that recently sold at [my local] Lowes -- but is no longer on display. The key features that separated the two were the reliability and straightness of cuts -- square all the time - everytime - even after repeated setup/takedown.
I do like Hitachi and went with their Chop Saw (sliding-mitre dual-bevel saw) for the same [reviewed] reasons. Extremely happy with the work output of both.
P.S. I paid $423 delivered - no tax for the table saw with an extra Freud blade, the two kits for panel cutting (highly recommended as they slide up and under the saw - out of the way), and the stand though not the wheeled-gravity model now used (on 4100s???) . ($549 at lowes a few weeks ago without the kits or extra blade). And paid just about $373 for the Hitachi chop saw. Both deals thanks to fatwallet posters.
Like sherrynews, I got 1 for each of my 4 crews at the same price last year.
Unlike sherrynews, I'm a die hard DeWalt fan when it comes to Miter Saws...........

No more words are needed. Mind you, I am just guessing this Hitachi is good stuff but I haven't inspected it closely at Lowes. Either case, most likely made in Taiwan which does not mean they suck.

That's a great deal for this type of table saw. However if you don't have the room/floor space that this table saw would take up.
Home depot has the Ridgid table saw for $404.10. Not as hot as the sale price at Christmas time, but still a $50. off. Search for TS2400LS.
