So how is this a hot deal???

This is a normal sale that Sears does almost all the time. I have purchased appliances when they are all 20% off and on a F&F sale which gives you an additional 10% off making it 28% off and you don't have to buy 3 appliances.

Ah... well seeing as I'm buying large appliances for my first house and I've never bought large appliances before... this seems like a deal to me....

Plus, on Sundays from 6pm to 6am, Clearance appliances get an extra 10% off

Sears is a bunch of hucksters. They're always making it seem like practically everything is on sale. The challenge w/ Sears is almost to pay the normal price!

Many of their Appliances have a model number that only Sears sells and that makes price matching difficult. It took some time, but I did get them to price match a gas dryer with similar features recently. The Sears rebates on top of the price match will make it a good deal. Check prices at costco because they sometimes include a second year on the warranty for the same price as other places with just one year.

Well I'd be interested. How did you get the rebate? I desperately need a washer and dryer. I was going to get the base LG model at HD for $699 ea unit + 10% off.

However, I see Sears is running a sale for the same units @ $664 + 10% off. Since I'd buy both if I could get another 15% off, that would be a pretty darn good deal imo!!

Edit, never mind. Did a google, looks like rebates don't apply to LG. Too bad.

Sears is currently offering a 20% rebate on *all* major appliances (not just Kenmore / Kenmore Elite). My wife and I are planning to get a GE Profile fridge and range, along with a Kitchenaid dishwasher (all are "real" products, not Sears-specific).

Considering the regular price on these is about the same as at the local Lowes / Home Depot, 20% off seems like a very good deal. Let me know if we should be waiting for something better.

Edit - from the rebate form I picked up, this offer is only good in specific markets, so YMMV.

I see 12 percent off $399 or more at Sears.com so the 20 percent may require a call or visit to the local store.

See it you can find what you want for less at another store so that you can do the 110% price match at Sears plus the rebate.

Thank you poster for providing the information, but frankly even getting a 20% rebate at Sears is not a great deal.

As a FW regular, and author of a post on the horrible service Sears Home Central provides - (Check out my Sears Horror Story Here), I have to advise against purchasing anything from Sears.

Sears used to be the only place to buy a washer, dryer, refrigerator, etc... no longer.

With the ready availability of Lowes, Home Depot, Target as well as numerous reputable local appliance stores - there is no longer the need to shop at Sears, a company that cares little for customers and even less for providing service of any kind. You see, I know what happens when a Sears appliance fails... The results aren't pretty, nor cheap.

Sears - 135 years... and thats long enough.

What market are you in ? Can anyone confirm that Sears has 20% off in DFW area?

This may be YMMV, but our local Sears is having a Friends and Family night this Sunday (March 30) from 6 pm to 9 pm (CST). Kenmore appliances will be 20% off with an additional 10% off during the event.

In my experience, these are the best discounts you'll find on Kenmore appliances short of finding something at a Sears appliance outlet.

Last time they had a F&F event, I purchased several appliances so they called me yesterday with the announcement of this Sunday's F&F event. Never received a personal invite before.....

BTW - Anyone can go to a F&F event. You don't need an invitation. Just be there.

Mall stores (full line) F&F is sunday. Dealer stores is monday. From what I've read the discounts ARE stackable.

I see that the 12% off (which happens to be 20% in some market) on appliance is expiring on 28th March. Where did you find that the appliances will be 20% off on 31st?

I did the wrong quote. Sorry! I wanted to ask the guy that has the event at his local Sears to give us the location. If it is close to me I would go and check it out

So if you buy now, can you get the rebate, and then get pricematched to the lower price during F&F sale?
