is there a page on the site that lists which software is available to subscribers? i couldn't find one and i am unable to access the downloads area as i am not a member.
Do you know WHEN this code expires? I have been thinking about signing up, but I may prefer to wait a few weeks / months until I'm more heavily into that kind of admin / development / use.

I want to build a small lab at home with 1-2 Windows Server 2008 and 2-3 Vista workstations. Can I generate enough license keys to create this environment only using this single TechNet subscription?

Yes, you can, My subscription gave me one server license for all server software versions and I got 10 licenses for XP pro and Vista business. 1 for Vista uLT.
A bunch for office, visio etc. You can request additional licenses..
So I can install Server 2008 on two machines at the same time to play with the new features in AD and TS? That would be great... I was worried that I need to redo this setting each time my trial would expire...

Darn it...just renewed my Action Pack subscription. This would have been much better. I really want Home Server for my, uh-hum, evaluation purposes for "customers."
If one did the 'download' method, any idea how much space would be needed? Does anyone have experience with this method and know the speed/reliablilty of the download process? Thanks

you download the ISO images on a per-application basis. Usually they are between 300MB to several gigabytes (server DVDs). Then you burn them on media or use another program to extract or mount your ISO file. You should have cable or at least DSL and download over night. Comcast cable is between 3-6Mbit/sec = 300-600kByte/sec. Thus it'll take between 15min for 300MB and 4 hours for a full DVD image. They use a browser plugin, which can queue and parallel download multiple applications . I found it very reliable and it can resume after a connection was lost (usually doesn't happen) without having to start from scratch again. After logging in you'll have access to a webpage where you can check out your personal license keys to activate the products. It tells you exactly which keys you have used and how many are left. Many applications don't even require a license key. It's awesome.
TechNet noob here, I've read through a dozen pages of TechNet FAQ's, EULA's, etc. and still have questions:
"full-version software available for evaluation without time limits." Truly, no time limits? 3 years from now, and 2 years after my TechNet subscription has expired, the software will still get updated on Windows Update, etc.?
Lets say that I need a few licenses for XP or Vista, etc., I only need to download the ISO a single time, correct? (The additional licenses will activate on the generic ISO, right?)
