But... THE PRICE WENT UP! Before the "free" promo, my shades would've have been $106.60 each. After the promo, they were $132 each.So buy one now and get the rebate, then buy another after the promo ends and hopefully the price will go back down. Of course you'll pay shipping again. |

Anyone get theirs yet? What is the quality like? The Blinds.com brand honeycomb blinds were of medium quality (as opposed to high quality Bali blinds) and I want to make sure these are at least of a medium quality before ordering. Thanks!! |

Thanks OP for posting this and others for your comments. I missed out on the Blinds.com offer not long ago since I did not have someone able to measure for me. Now if I can just figure out the meaning of the fuzzy logic and the zip code regression whatever.... |

mpkb said:One way to prevent them from fudging with your numbers is to order the blind as an "outside mount" blind. For "inside mount" blinds, they take off a certain amount so that it can fit and operate inside the window. Also to account for out-of-square window casings. (Don't ask, you'd be surprised how many out of square windows, doors, walls, etc. there can be).
From my own experience, you can trim the 1/2" down quite a bit, if you are confident that your window casings are perfectly perpendicular. One of my cellular blinds rubs a bit, but it doesn't bother me. The others work great.
A big YMMV if you mess with the 1/2", and if you do, quadruple measure everything. Check for bowing and square corners and adjust accordingly. But you gotta subtract *something*. Zero is not going to work for an inside mount. Point well taken. I have not ordered anything from justblinds.com, but I'm happy to note that their site includes their standard deductions: http://www.justblinds.com/static/cellpleatednatural-mm.cfm |

I placed an order for a 1 in. mini aluminum and I'm interested to see their quality as compared to the Blinds.com order I've installed. Their quality (Blinds.com) is quite good but is a definite step down from the Levolor that it replaced. Levolor minis closed very tight and blocked out a lot more light; the new ones just don't tighten up when shut. |

I found my email from Blinds.com order last year and I see I got the 1" Aluminum Deluxe. This place does not seem to have a deluxe version and they are much cheaper than Blinds.com for the comparable size, so I wonder if the quality will be as good. Am I missing a better 1" aluminum version on their site? I guess it will only cost me $4 to try. |

I give up! What is this fuzzy logic zip code regression? Can I order a blind using my CC shipped to me and a blind actually for a relative but using a DIFFERENT CC of mine and shipped to them? They don't have a CC of their own. Thanks for any replies! |

Is anyone having a problem with their blind being stuck in the "pulled up" position? Hubby installed our 2" faux-wood blind today, and when I tried to lower the slats, nothing happened. After trying for a few more minutes, I called customer service. She told me that sometimes during shipping a pin in the headrail gets jammed, and she had me use a screwdriver to give it a jiggle. Unfortunately, it didn't work, so she is sending me out a new blind. (BTW, the customer service rep was excellent...something of a rarity these days.) Other than that problem, I am very pleased with the quality and look of the blind. I had to pay $29 (after rebate) for mine, but my window is very large (70x60). I'm curious, did anyone else have this problem? |

I guess I might as well be the first to ask, do you get to keep the old blind in addition to the new replacement blind or do they pay postage back on the defective one? BTW, I received mine on Friday so it's not installed yet so I cannot answer your question. Hopefully mine won't be defective. |

Hopefully mine won't be defective. I don't know yet for sure. The customer service rep said to keep the broken blind in case the factory requested it back...so evidently the final decision didn't rest with her. It really doesn't matter though, since it is unusable. But it would be a lot easier to just toss out, rather than drag to the UPS place...like I mentioned before, it's a 70" blind, so the box is like 6 feet long. I'm assuming that they would pay for postage back, I didn't think to ask. |

An update: My justblinds order has been installed and it seems identical to the other one from Blinds.com. Exact same materials used in head rail (down to the color of red/white plastic components) and the method of packaging was also. I wondere if they out-source their orders and use the same third parties to make their products. Just hope their rebates aren't fulfilled out of the same piggy bank. |

It comes from the same distribution center, I took a look at the packing slip as I threw out my copy of Blinds.com rebate. |
