No more OD for me,unless spetacular savings. I actually liked the mini-fridge, cd player. the mag sub, dvd are worth nothing because it aint really a physical gift, it's a gift with info. sign of the economic downtime and gas prices I guess. not much there has resell besides the shredder.

None of these 'current codes' will actually add the items to your cart. They will, however, give you a discount on the mentioned items.
Ordered some items worth more than $75, added the free car wash kit (yes, it allowed me to add the item to the cart) and corresponding code, and checked out. Next day found the status of the free item to be "Delivered - Short Shipped", i.e. won't be getting it.
Anybody else experienced the same? What did you do to get some other bonus/free item, if any, as a replacement?

Did you ever think that people might actually get these things to use??? I don't know what the magazine choices are, but I know I've gotten much better use from the DVD+Domino's pizza gift than with the other crap they've offered in the past.

For those of you who have gotten the free movie/pizza deal, or one of the other things like the pen which is delivered as a post card that you have to mail in, does your Office Depot distribution center package it separately instead of putting it in the box with the other stuff you've ordered? Their NJ distribution center really screws this stuff up, they pack them separately in a tiny plastic bag (6x9 or smaller). They seem to routinely deliver it to UPS incorrectly (or the local UPS depot always messes it up, I get this message "INCORRECT ROUTING AT UPS FACILITY / THE PACKAGE WAS MISSORTED AT THE HUB. IT HAS BEEN REROUTED TO THE CORRECT DESTINATION SITE" and it takes an extra day even to start moving. Then it seems like half the time it gets misplaced in the NYC depot. I ordered two of these things with my recent order (one movie/pizza, one pen) and both got the incorrect routing error which delayed them a day, now one of them seems to have gotten stuck in NYC.
I tried calling UPS about the missort message, they didn't care. I think I've complained to OD and they claimed they would contact the distribution center but it's still happening. I'm trying to figure out if others are also seeing this, preferably from other OD distribution centers. I just don't understand why their system is set up to ship these things separately -- it's so stupid and clearly they have something coded wrong in their system for it to be happening.
I guess I should consider myself lucky since they put my software in a box this time and it did not get damaged in transit as it usually does, and it arrived on time.
