Scored one in Bradenton Fl. for $29.97. I didn't see anymore in the power tool section where this one was, but they said they had two more on hand. |

webcobra said:Has anyone assembled theirs together? Why is the chuck piece just hammered into the tapered top piece? It doesn't seem so secure when drilling. Am I missing something here? This is the way my Harb0r Fre1ght drill press was "assembled". I gave it a good whack and it hasn't come out yet. Strange indeed, but it works. HPMaster |

Got one in Chantilly, VA for $50. Not bad, since it's a real brand and not "Chicago Electric". They had 5 or 6 more, isle 18. I'm going to check at Dulles, VA on Monday to see if their price is lower and do a match... If so, great, if not, still a heck of a deal at twice what others are paying. -H |

OP THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! I went to one Lowes in VA and it was $50 for the drill press. I talked to MGT and they asked why is there no store number and such and so forth on the receipt from this thread. They even called the Cary NC store, the one on the reciept, and after all that still made up something and said $50 is half of its full price so they can;t go any lower. I put it back and went to the 8755 Branch Ave Clinton MD 20735 store. I did not see the drill press but I did see the sander for $25!!! So I got one. I asked about the drill press as I did not see any but was told they had 3. Well they were on a top shelf on the same lane as the Shop Vacs. So I got that and it to was $25.
There were about 6 sanders left and 2 Drill press's. But the employee saw the price of the drill press so hurry if you want one as he might get one or tell others. |

I got one at the Richmond, VA Lowes (Parham & Brooke Rd) tonight. They had about 6 left as of 7 PM, all in the overhead racks on aisle 16 and 17. Rang up at $24.75 with no problem. The Lowes by Chesterfield Town Center had only the display model with a missing chuck and it scanned for $49. |

Also they had the 2 of the sanders on the clearance table for $79.00 Thanks OP Thanks for the tip, I picked up the last one and I think you meant aisle 14 cause that's where the other power tools where and 17 was concrete and sheetrock? I felt bad for the old guy who went all the way to the top, I didn't think it was 70lbs! |

Picked up one at the Millerville store in Baton Rouge, LA. They had 6 and I purchased 1. Price on the shelf was $34.65, but I showed the cashier out in the Garden Center the receipt scan on my PDA phone (Yep, I didn't even print the thing out!), she called the manager on her phone, and he/she agreed to the PM of $24.75! No muss, no fuss. Thanks OP! You just got me a hell of a deal on my Father-In-Law's B-Day present! PS... I think part of my success was getting the PM in the Garden Center. It's outside and a loooooong way from the CS Station, and I don't think they wanted to walk all that way outside, so they went along with the $9 and change price reduction. |

Yes, thanks a bunch for the scan! I am going to try it at a different location in AZ this week. I tried it today at the same Lowes I went to last week, but they turned me down again, lol. Their clearance price is $74, and even with the scanned register receipt, the best they would do is 10% more off, and this was for the floor model! I told them no thanks. |

No luck at the Chantilly, VA location (#1538). Their computer showed 6 in stock; I saw two on the shelves. Rang up at $49.50, and manager Byron wouldn't give the discount even after I showed him the scanned receipt posted earlier. |

I picked one up in North Dallas/Plano for $39 and some change. Not quite the great deal as the OP, but good enough after checking 2 other stores. For locals, there were 2 more there as of Saturday afternoon and they said there were several at the Irving store and a store at Preston/Lemmon. Thanks OP! |

For people that are not able to get the $24.75 price - stay alert. When your local Lowe's reduces the price yet again as they progress through their clearance phases, you may want to approach them for a price match. So, not all hope is lost yet. |

EGS - if they reduce it further WILL they give you a price adjustment off your previous receipt? If so, how olong is it good for 2 weeks or what? |

I couldn't find the Lowe's stated policy on matching themselves for a better price at a later date, only to a competitor. I would think they would still match during their return period, but maybe not? Hmm. Most good stores do. |

Lowes seems to allow returns almost indefinitely... I just returned an extra box of tiles ($14) that we've had for almost a year. Scanned the box and my credit card and boom! Returned. That said, don't open it up. -H mocars2 said:egs said:For people that are not able to get the $24.75 price - stay alert. Just price checked the one I bought in Chantilly, VA for $49. Price checked to Dulles, VA - it's $99 there, so I guess I'll be content with my $49 price. I'm not all about crazy receipt games. |
