Lowes in Perrysburg Ohio had six drill presses marked down to $59.50. Talked to sales associate who stated that she hadn't sold any since Christmas. I told her about how other stores were selling them for around $25.00. She called her manager and told him that she had not sold any since Christmas and other stores had sold them for $25.00. He told the sales associate to sell it to me for $25.00. Awesome deal. My father went to same store 2 hours later and got same deal. There is four left there for any takers.

I know what you mean and really - $49 is still a great price. I was at HD and I saw those entenders that make a drill into a drill press - KIND OF, but the drill always moves when you use it - anyway those are priced for 30 something so getting a actual drill press for $49 - it's still a great price IMHO.
Tried to get a price match in MN and was offered 10% off $89... passed and waited till back home. Scored one of four in Oviedo Lowes after employee couldnt find them but I spotted it on the back side of Aisle 18 (would make it 17 or 19, not sure which) and rings up at 24.75. Report of more in Orange City as well.
I just picked on up from the Catonsville, MD Lowe's. They have 5 more. When I called to check stock they told me they were $49.95, but when I got the there the shelf said $24.75. They have 4 in high storage (After I was done.) in one of the aisles, and one on display, but it was missing the chuck.
Hanover, PA had 2 for $89.10 Timonium, MD had 3 for $64.35 Westminster, MD had none in stock
I tried to be discrete, and use the self checkout, but the attendant came over to help, and said, no way, that wasn't the price. She's probably going to buy one.
Just received my Lowes Woodworkers mag and on the back cover there is a 15% off all power tools coupon. There is not a barcode which is stupid as it just reeks of problems at the checkout but there it is. Valid 03/27-04/06 and there are exclusions.

You'll probably waste $10 worth of your life trying to redeem it.

"Not worth the hassle for saving three bucks"...you do realize this IS FW right!
Picked up 2 @ 29.97 in North Stafford (VA.) today. I think my dad was pleasantly pleased to get a decent drill press and I was glad to get one for myself. They had another, but I am not sure it was complete. There are still a few in stores around this area on up to northern and northwestern VA.
I had been watching these for a week or so since I saw them at 59 bucks. They must have dropped today or yesterday.
Federal Way, WA Lowes Inventory showed 0. There was no display model. Just the tag on the shelf. But there was one in a box under the shelf on the floor with the strapping intact.... One day it was $40 and they wouldn't sell for less... Next day it was $24.75 and now in the trunk of my car!
Box has a lot of red on it so easy to spot. The only number on the box is FS300DP in a black part of the box near the end under the 2 Year warranty logo. I couldn't find the 275159 number except on the shelf and receipt.
Their inventory is off so you have to physically check or take a chance and call in and see if they will physically check.
Checked one of my local stores (SC/GA) and the drill press was OOS. However, saw the FireStorm 4" belt/6" disc sander (SKU 275077) clearanced for $24.75 (regular price $99.99). Also saw B&D cordless rechargeable PowerScissors clearanced for $4.99 (was $19.99).

I'm going to check the price at my local store, I'll post the price...looked like they only had one left. The price on the shelf was still $99.99, I'm hoping they just neglected to mark it down.
Hydrasports205 said: Does anybody know if the price has gone down any on the firestorm disk/belt sander? I saw $24.75, but they were all gone when I got there.
Johns Creek, GA had both the drill press and the sander for 24.75. The key there is to look up in the racks. I left one sander there at the store and I purchased one drill press and one sander. I found both of these up in the racks and NOT in the power tool area as one would suspect. Good luck!
Bmr4life said: So is all of SC/GA OOS or just that store?
Just that store. I didn't check every store in both states.
After checking 3 stores, I luckily finally snagged the last one in my area last night. Saw the disc/belt sander on clearance for $24.75 in 2 stores and $89.10 in the third store. Shows that Lowe's clearance prices are all over the map as always. Also see that the B&D cordless scissors I saw earlier got its own thread now. I may go back and get one after reading positive reviews.

Just like Target clearances (many thanks for Rolling Thunder btw!), Lowe's clearances are YMMV. I would keep an eye on it and I bet it'll go on clearance soon.
It will probably get me blacklisted one day but when deals like this occur I just buy the item. If it rings up 99.99 then I return it within a week, same day if it is cash. If it rings up at a lower FatWallet price, then I get it and that's that. Unless there's a price checker on the floor for customer's use (i.e. Target). I just don't trust the employees when it comes to great bargains like these tools. That's just my $0.02.

At Lowe's they have a computer somewhere in the tool section. The price can be looked up by the Lowe's code (much shorter than the upc code), and you will see the same thing on the screen they do. If you go to the register, ask them to do a price check. Why hassle with too many returns? Home Depot can deny you a return just because they feel like it (its in their policy now), and they do track people who make too many returns.
Tenorsaxguy said: I have never noticed the price checker in Lowes. I will have to look out for them from now on.
There is not a "self-service" price checker at Lowes (that I know of). I believe that fwmo88 was referring to the computer in the tools section (often at the desk where they make keys) where you can have an employee easily/quickly check the price for you. FYI - they can also from that screen check nearby stores for inventory (but apparently not price at other stores).
I usually watch REALLY closely when they check the prices - watch in the middle of the screen - the computer may show several prices "stacked" - with the original price at the top and the clearance price at the bottom -something like this:
99.00 00.00 00.00 24.75
I have had well-meaning employees mistakenly report the item as full price and not realize a lower price is listed at the bottom. You will not run into this mistake if you have the item number checked at a register or the service desk, but they may have a harder time checking nearby stores.
FYI - I just learned recently that you can do self-service price checks at HomeDepot if they have the self-checkout lanes. When you walk up, there will be a "price check" button on the screen - you can choose that and scan the item yourself. Quite handy.
Scored the last FS300DP at the Lowe's in Newington, CT for $24.75. It was sitting atop the racks in the hardware aisle. I had someone look up the price for me, he said he wished he knew about the deal. Ah well. Thanks OP, and thanks for the tip on looking up in the shelves. I *think* I saw one sander on the shelf as well - but didn't realize people were looking for one until I returned.

Hanover, PA is now out of stock (as well as the surrounding stores in York, Chambersburg, and most of northern Baltimore) .....
