It only works once so if you have used it once before, it will not work again. |

Cool... I just used the $20 off code to buy a Panasonic DMC-TZ5A. The trick to applying the code is to wait until the final confirmation screen, instead of the previous payment selection page. |

Can someone (preferably who did not get notice of these deals from Chase/Amazon) verify that the double points for education expenses works? I never get these notices from them (I never got the Buy.com offers when they were being sent, either) but need to pay my daughter's college tuition and would use my Amazon card if I got double points. Also, I found this on the Amazon board, it claims to be for the business card (but I can verify that the DVD code is accepted for my non-business card): How to save extra on DVDs, video games and groceries with your Amazon.com Rewards Business card 1. Start your shopping at www.Amazon.com. Add at least $50 of DVDs sold by Amazon.com, and/or at least $100 of video games sold by Amazon.com to your Shopping Cart, and/or start a subscription for a grocery item sold by Amazon.com.* Offers only apply to items sold by Amazon.com. Items sold by Amazon.com have the phrase "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com." in the Availability section. Offers do not apply to digital downloads or to products sold on our site by third-party merchants. If Amazon.com is not the seller, this will be noted in the Availability section of the product detail page. The DVD and Video games offers have a limit of one of each offer per customer. 2. Proceed to checkout. At checkout, enter the right promotional code (DVD code: MAYDVDS5, Video games code: VG10BWEE, Groceries: No code needed), and select Amazon.com Visa Card as your payment method. 3. On the final checkout page, the additional discount(s) will be applied to your order and will appear in the upper right hand corner of your order summary. 4. Place your order on or before July 15th, 2008, to enjoy the savings. |

So, did anyone ever get double points for college expenses or the bonus points for getting an extra card? It turns out that Amazon is now offering a blue variety of the card which gives double points for restaurants, gas and drug stores. I converted my old black card and they are giving me double points for 90 days. If I can already get 2 points for college expenses, it would be great to get 4 points for my daughter's fall tuition. Note that none of the information I've seen online for the new (or old) card say anything about the 2 points for college expenses. Here is a new thread I just started in Finance on the blue Amazon Visa card since I could not find an old one there. |

In case anyone cases, the Amazon card really does give double points for educational expenses. I paid my daughter's college tuition with it last month and sure enough, bonus points showed up on the bill (and not only that, I have double points for 90 days, so it was actually tripled). |
