Before you chew me a new one, hear me out. I have AT&T service, on a FAN account (Foundation Account Number- My employer gets me a discount). Anyways, I was speaking to a rep and they told me of a feature code U200 which when added on to your account gives you 200 minutes per line on your plan, every month for as long as you have the account.
I think you might have to have a FAN account, (employer discount- mine is 20%). But anyways, long story short, the rep couldn't add it, something about them not being authorized to do so, so I called up customer service, hit the option to cancel, and basically said that my corporate representative had told me to call and get the feature added to my account, as we were going to be on a lot of conference calls soon. They asked me what the code was and I said U200.
It took me about 3 or 4 calls before I found someone that was willing to add it on (they don't like giving you something for no reason I suppose), but I managed to get it on all 3 lines on my account, so now I have a total of 600 extra bonus minutes per month, free of charge. I guess if you have had an issue with them lately you could say that your rep told you to call because of the inconvience. Just be nice to them.
Took about 15 min of my time. Now if that isn't a SlickDeal, I don't know what is.
edit: Thanks for the reps you guys gave me, I appreciate it. Post success stories in the Wiki!

um... i tried calling and first guy said he's been there for 3 and a half yrs and never heard of it. he went thru my acct and said there's no such thing for my employer.
2nd rep i spoke to gave me more info. said that my employer was not eligible for it. she said that it's an internal code which is used only under minimal circumstances. she said it usually applies for new accts that qualify. unfortunately, she said, my acct is not eligible for this discount.
one last thing she said was i should check with my hr about it. LOL
i'm gonna get my friend to try since her company offers 20% discount. mine only offered me a lousy 4%!! rofl
I called again to add the code to the other lines on my account and it went like a piece of cake! The rep did it in minutes! I have 5 lines on my account and additional 1000 minutes really helps!
Good deal. A good competition in wireless market. Verizon is also offering bonus minutes of 450 Mins/month with no contract extensions. I called in to inquire about the unlimited plan and helpful CSR told me they can add 450 bonus minutes/month on my exisiting 39.99 plan as no extra charge. I, however, switched to unlimited as I needed it and because you can change plans anytime later too with no contract extensions.

are we sure this is for the life of our service
if so this is awesome
Who did you speak with? Any extension they gave you?
Did you go to customer retention, or just hit 0 twice?
Hint: 1) You should have FAN (Foundation account number) in your account (ie., you should be receiving corporate discount currently) 2) Start with the CSR like " My corporate manager told there is a feature which can be added to my account to get 200minus bonus". If CSR is puzzled , tell her the code you think something like U200

Once it is added, I finally found where you see the minutes. Looks like since i have two lines on my family plan, it gives me 200 for each. Under minute details >

Tried again and got a different lady who didn't even put me on hold. Just added it to both lines. 30 seconds done. Why can't everyone be that efficient.
Got shot down first two calls, but the third one worked. However, he only gave me 200 minutes, even I have family plan. Oh well...better than nothing. Thanks OP.

I was told to contact my HR to add the feature. I talked with my internal account manager, she is going to look in to it.
When I worked with BB video and then later through my school I had the 200 min added automatically. I also got I believe 15% off through both of those locations. It is YMMV as it depends on the agreement AT&T has with your company. Good luck.
Note iPhone and iPhone service can not use the FAN accounts.

They can if you have an unlocked Iphone with a Tilt sim card...hahaa
it works smoothly, call 611, then 1 to confirm number, then push 0 twice. then talk to the rep. as suggest on the first page, wola, you have extra 200 mins. wonderful. I was worrying I will need to pay extra money for this month bill again. thanks,
Just got mine added. CSR lady said it had to do with migrating TDMA accounts to GSM accounts for the bonus minutes. Then I mentioned U200 code and she was able to add it. Thanks!

Got mine added for all 3 lines. First CSR was a bitch, hung up on her. Called the second time, spoke to a guy, was nice to him, asked him about his day, weather and stuff, so in return he was nice to me, i mentioned the code U200 to him and he added it to all 3 lines.
Anyone tried the unlimited txt msg code listed in that wiki page? Thanks.

I just tried calling in because they only added the bonus minutes to 1 of the 2 lines and the CSR said I 'm not qualified to get it and that they've received an email this morning from their corporate office to make sure people don't get this added to their plans. I guess they're finding out about this. Should I try again or is this pretty much a dead deal?

This might make your trail easy
this is exactly what i did
tho i should clarify my first call the women was very nice and said my fan account didnt have this as a option but told me to hold on ....2 minutes later comes back on and says hold another sec i am putting on the account right now then she came back but call was lost
i called back the number in the first post and just hit "0" then "0" again and the got a guy explained what happened told him i need code "u200" added to my account and he said ok and a minute later while on the phone i checked online and sure enough
just tell them your att corportrate rep told you to call and have that code added as long as you have a FAN account discount
good luck
i like having a 600 minute buffer on our phones

Thank you so much OP. I got all 3 of my lines added. Here was what I did:
1. Called 1-800-331-0500 and pressed "0" for customer service, then "0" for customer service, then waited a while. 2. Got this friend rep named Billy, greeted how are you and so on. 3. Said that "as you know, I'm an employee of xxxxxxx who has contracted with At&T. This afternoon I just got a memo from my HR saying that there is a new bonus of 200 minutes....and the code is U200. 4. The rep said sure 5. Working on it 2 minutes, he asked if I wanted to add for all 3 lines or only 1. I said, "All three, please"
The whole thing took about 10 minutes including waiting time.

What about us poor losers who don't have a FAN account and pay for our own service?
Any ideas for a similar solution? Thanks!

Nah, unsuccessful under my company's FAN account. Tried two different customer service reps, both said it needed to be validated, the first said with a fax of the letter indicating the eligibility for the extra minutes.
I've got 7000 rollover minutes, I think I'll be fine.
