Amazon Lighting Deals currently has the D-Link DGS-2208 8-Port 10/100/1000 Desktop Switch for $39.99 with instant discount, but it looks like you could still use the $10 rebate linked on the product page, since it goes right to D-Link. So final price is $29.99, which seems decent for this switch.
NOTE Since this is on the Lighting Deal page there are a limited number available and it is only good for a short time, in this case 6 pm PST today (4 April)
Yup, this is the backbone of my home network as well that links up to two DLINK Gamer Lounge Wireless Routers in WDS and two other GigE 5 ports. My only gripe: The LEDs are not BLUE!!! It blinks like 70's Star Wars set design with the orange and green LEDs... They just totally clash with all my other blinking toys that are blue...

I have one of these that I have been using for the last few months, and I am truly impressed with this model and the faster speeds in general. At $30, this is future proof and a steal!
Get 'em while you still can..

Don't use the old rebate link from the original post, here's the current rebate link.
