Neat. If you need one, here's a cheap SD card reader: link and here's a couple of power splitters: here and here. I'm sure someone can come up with a better price/link for the power splitters, I think 3 is a minimum nowadays. PS: Does anyone have the current coupon codes? I'm a newsletter subscriber, but they haven't sent me one in a dog's age. |

lazybummm said:sauceyapple said:I too wonder about the quality of this one. I have a Kensington and a Philips. I love the quality of my Philips (Kensington is ok). This is such a tempting deal, if only that transmitter was a name brand... but I guess no matter which brand it is, it's all the finest of China.
I don't know how well this thing works, but the FM transmitter, 12v kind (cig lighter in car) for 3.50 shipped from DealExtreme like 3 years ago works great, still works to this day...
and if you buy, don't forget to use the coupon for some freebies.

I got some freebies last time I ordered anyone have experience with which freebies are okay...and which are crap-pish? |

Has anyone tried it with usb stick or SD? Does it start from scratch every time it loses power or remember its place? I do podcasts/audiobooks. |

My experience with these fm transmitters is that if you live in a highly populated city, or near one, you will be searching around for an empty station. If you drive more than 25 miles to work, these stations may pull in from a different area and make you further look for an empty station. I had one and stopped using because of the above reasons. IF you live out in the country, I would imagine these working much better for you. |

mines sounds like crap when using a usb drive. anybody else have the same problem. it works perfect when using it with an mp3 player though. but i bought this specifically to use the usb feature. havent tried SD yet. |

I finally managed to try it. On the bright side - the quality is actually very good. I believe this is mainly because unlike my other solution, this one doesn't have a wire between the fm modulator and the player which works as an antenna and can pick up noise. However, what makes this thing absolutely useless to me is that it cannot remember the point in the middle of the file where it stopped last time. |

Well still a decent deal. Nowadays who cares about the look? Didn't you see fat guys with hot chicks ALL THE TIME? Agreed. The Radios from BB were better. Hmm, did you copy my avatar ?
