I inserted 4GB SD card in this transmitter which have the same function of Ipod Nano,
but the cost is only $10.49 (FM transmitter) + $20 (4GB SD)= $30.49 ~~

This FM Transmitter read the following:

USB Flash Drive
SD card
Mp3 player
iPod (with stereo jack, included)

How good is the FM transmission of this unit? I hear that the cheaper kinds may be noisy. My friend was strongly recommending getting a Belkin. Any advice?

Seems like a pretty slick item. I also would like to hear about the sound quality. Anyone else ever buy from ledshoppe?

I too wonder about the quality of this one. I have a Kensington and a Philips. I love the quality of my Philips (Kensington is ok). This is such a tempting deal, if only that transmitter was a name brand... but I guess no matter which brand it is, it's all the finest of China.

I don't know how well this thing works, but the FM transmitter, 12v kind (cig lighter in car) for 3.50 shipped from DealExtreme like 3 years ago works great, still works to this day...

and if you buy, don't forget to use the coupon for some freebies.

It looks like the VR (Virtual Reality) mp3/wma/usb fm transmitter sold on Amazon ($25) and Target B&M ($7-$12 clearance).
Mine got static noise on many FM stations but there're some that were static free. You have to play around to find the best station.
$10 is a good deal but shipping may kill the deal.

Pardon me for saying this. But this is ONE UGLY device they have there! Looks like a child took the picture and someone PSed as ugly as possible.

Well still a decent deal. Nowadays who cares about the look? Didn't you see fat guys with hot chicks ALL THE TIME?

Here's this transmitter on Amazon... reviews are decent but there are only 6 of them.

But if this is a Chinese knock off of the original from Amazon, it could almost be better, as Chinese knock-offs would not be very likely to follow the FCCs power limit regulations which currently hinder performance of transmitters in the US.

Are you same function of spammer?

I think deal is like same smell of fish.

I have bought from them before, although it was over a year ago now. They seem like the same kind of Chinese operation as DealExtreme, etc. Selling lots of cheap led flashlights etc.

It did take a while for it to get here, flimsy packaging but nothing was broken. Post office got confused and made me pick it up rather than have my wife sign for it, but that was the post office mistake I think. I'd give them a go again.

The 2 biggest problems with FM transmitters:

FM Modulation (converting the audio signal to an FM signal for transmission)

and

radio interference (transmitter sending a strong enough signal to transmit it far enough without other radio stations interfering)

most cheap transmitters have poor FM modulation and often times are just joining the L+R channels into mono. even then the audio quality can be poor (even with great reception).

the 2nd problem can be a number of things. finding an open frequency helps and having a higher powered transmitter (although this is heavily regulated by the FCC to nearly 0 power (I think it's .25 Watts)).

I haven't had any experience with this particular one but i've used a belkin, iTrip, and a couple cheap generics, and the only one that I can say is decent is this:
Amazon Link
make sure to read the reviews discussing the "range modification"
I think it's also cheaper to buy straight from their website ccrane.com

Bro. i do see "ugly fat guys" with hot chicks all the time. You have to understand what those hot chicks want " there is only ugly fat guys driving a fxcking nice, sporty, overpriced car."

Ledshoppe is a known store around FW (for cheap, lower quality stuff). Save the spammer label for the real ones. We need more people to post deals.

I bought several brands of fm transmitters just for fun over the years.
Believe it or not, the best one is by Monster, very clean sound.

So whatever you're playing might be heard on the radios in the cars around you?

According to past threads here, even the Belkin, etc. FM transmitters don't work great, saying when you do find a clean station, as you drive around it doesn't stay that way.

I got mine yesterday and I'm pretty impressed. Signal strength is good. I've only used the line input thus far so I can't comment on the SD or USB reader.

I just got mine. An initial test shows this to not only work, but to work well. I have no others to compare it to, but I was half-expecting it to catch on fire or not to work at all. It had a very clean sound, even when I moved it around a bunch (my 12V plug is on an extension wire). Comes with groovy semi-English instructions! It uses a screwy 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable for direct input because it only has a 2.5mm jack on the body. Luckily, it comes with this cable.
The "free gift" led light/laser pointer works too. You sign up for the newsletter (none sent so far) to get this gift.

FYI, it looks like DealExtreme sells the exact same item here, which they say replaced this

Thanks op, in 4 1.

Neat. If you need one, here's a cheap SD card reader: link and here's a couple of power splitters: here and here. I'm sure someone can come up with a better price/link for the power splitters, I think 3 is a minimum nowadays.

PS: Does anyone have the current coupon codes? I'm a newsletter subscriber, but they haven't sent me one in a dog's age.

I will vote for Led shoppe, as they have better customer services~~

in for 1 from DealExtreme.. One at Deal Extreme looks nice compared to all black one at LEDSHoppee.

Does anyone know what company they ship with? I live in the woods and have to send USPS to a different address.

anyone have experience with which freebies are okay...and which are crap-pish?

Has anyone tried it with usb stick or SD? Does it start from scratch every time it loses power or remember its place? I do podcasts/audiobooks.

My experience with these fm transmitters is that if you live in a highly populated city, or near one, you will be searching around for an empty station. If you drive more than 25 miles to work, these stations may pull in from a different area and make you further look for an empty station. I had one and stopped using because of the above reasons. IF you live out in the country, I would imagine these working much better for you.

it came in regular mail (usps)

received mine from DealExtreme today. Pretty nice and works fine with SD. It remembers the lasst played song and starts from there always..I like that feature..

mines sounds like crap when using a usb drive. anybody else have the same problem. it works perfect when using it with an mp3 player though. but i bought this specifically to use the usb feature. havent tried SD yet.

Do you work for Led shoppe by chance?

I finally managed to try it.
On the bright side - the quality is actually very good. I believe this is mainly because unlike my other solution, this one doesn't have a wire between the fm modulator and the player which works as an antenna and can pick up noise.
However, what makes this thing absolutely useless to me is that it cannot remember the point in the middle of the file where it stopped last time.

Fitter said: I will vote for Led shoppe, as they have better customer services~~Fitter, what is your relationship to Ledshoppe?

I'm somewhat tempted by this one:

Similar player, but displays the title of the track being played

It would be nice for rental cars - just plug it in and go, no crazy adapters, separate mp3 player, transmitters, ground loop isolators...

Agreed. The Radios from BB were better.
