i have the 510 and use the 2gb cheapie cards with full TTS navshare and just pop in west euro, usa, or east euro sd card. paid $99 shipped and it does everything the newer models do except for the sad inrix-only traffic. bluetooth, fm transmitter, speaker, all works. the 510 is really a 710 that was dumbed down with less on-board storage. great units with a huge "haxoring" community i gave mine away since i have the gprs connected gps system. so nice to be able to code your own xml/georss feeds and searches |

aaronl said:I found a refurbished Magellan RoadMate 2200T for $110 AR at eCost. This might be preferable to the TomTom One since it has Text-to-Speech. I've never used either device. cant find anywhere that says that the 2200T has TTS, it has turn by turn voice, which is not text to speech. cant even find this model on magellan website anymore. Good advantage is that the 2200T has a SD slot. |

Can anyone tell me where to get the 25 off 75 coupon? Is that send by mail or automatic pop up when you use gco? Thanks! |

It's an email that most user of past GCO promotion get (if you used the previous 20 off 80, 20 off 60 one). While most past GCO users should get the first patch of emails, it seemed to be a hit or miss with the remaining FWters. |

Can someone please post the rebate form for this purchase? I purchased on Apr 17 and the current rebate form on Buy.com's website is only valid for purchases since Apr 19. If there is way on Buy.com's website to find previous rebate forms, someone please let me know. |

Have been messing with this for a couple hours now, and it is great once you add a couple files to it. I highly suggest new TomTom One 3rd edition owners go to TomTom Forums and read up on the simple file updates you should do. Following links there, and in less than 3 minutes, your 3rd edition will have extra feature capabilities. All easily switchable back to original menus with added TTmenu icon. Using TYRE and Itinerary planning, Google POI and Google map routing makes this one of the easiest GPS units to use. Use your PC to quickly click on Google maps to plan each stop along your route, then click and it's all transfered into your TomTom for turn by turn directions. |

Sorry for bumping...Looks like this deal is still available...but in looking through Buy.com's website, there is two TomTom One. One is the 3rd version and the other just says TomTom One. The third version (as discussed above) is $100 AR, but the other one is $120. (see here: buy.com product link for other TomTom One The second one though has Bluetooth and traffic update. I'm assuming this is the V2 version (I can't find any other info on it - maybe someone can). But anyways, I think I'm going to go with the second one with Bluetooth - anyone have an opinion? |

OK, I looked it up...for anyone who cares: Differences between v2 and v3 Basically there is a difference in the chip (Hammerhead vs Sirf III) and memory (internal vs SD card). Also for anyone who cares - the V2 is hackable to TTS, but it looks like you might be limited with the map version you can use (older one) and also that you need to get a hold of the voicefile. |
