Looked around and didn't see this posted here but there is a NFL offer that gives you a Stratus 4, Vehicle Kit, and a $30 dollar gift subscription card for free after paying just S/H.
Terms Customer pays shipping. Must activate or return within 30 days of shipping to avoid a $70 non-activation fee.
For me it came out to $0.01
Use promo code Freegroundship01 for 1 penny shipping.
you can also try adding this coupon code to get most of the shipping price taken off (the coupon code says it's free shipping but when i applied it it came out to one penny total)

Thanks. I checked my E-mail from Sirius and found the NFL offer.
There doesn't appear to be any requirement to keep the service for a certain length of time. Here are the Terms: "Customer pays shipping. Must activate or return within 30 days of shipping to avoid a $70 non-activation fee."
Anyone have any experience using the gift card to pay for the subscription if you are adding a second radio? I am hoping that I can add this radio to my account and use the $30 gift card to pay for 4 months of service ($6.95/month).

I've used GCs several times to pay for service... just load them in on your account, and they apply against your balance.

Can you activate and then cancel thin in 1 month?? Just looking for a spare and another antenna for free! And then $23 left on my account as this would be #2.
This deal rocks the house! Made a bunch of gifts out of these. If you call you can usually get the activation fee waived, so you're looking at a radio with 3-6 months (depending on whether you score $6.95 or the full $12.95/mo with your social skills) of service using the gift cards and and less than $10 cash.
Thanks OP!

EDIT: Nevermind, saw terms, same exact thing that was copied and pasted in OP
Where do those terms come up (about must activate by: and that fee)? I don't see them. Is there a minimum number of months needed?
Was waiting for a good Sirius deal for mothers day. Thanks OP. Green for YOU.

for a penny, i'm in. I'll try and get the $6.95 am month by saying i was considering XM and they offered the $77/year promo, but wanted to see if sirius could match it.
Free shipping didn't work for me, I just submitted an order. Still a great deal. Thanks op.

You might be better off than those of us that got the free shipping. I just really noticed the wording in the offer and it says "Get the $30 prepaid subscription card at no cost WHEN YOU PAY FOR SHIPPING AND HANDLING. I wonder if they will refuse to give us the $30 card based on this?
Oh well, thanks OP for the info. Maybe I will order another one and pay shipping just for the heck of it. Knowing Sirius and their billing system/customer service, it won't be a problem.

So if you pay the $.01, there are no more fees if one cancels? I just don't want to be trapped into a subscription.
I have had only minimal experience with satellite radio, but still wondering why anyone would pay for this service. I am willing to check it out further if I can get it basically for free...

I've had XM for 2 years. Once you have sattellite radio you can't go back to radio radio. You do realize that about 50% of regular radio is ads right? I don't need people selling me stuff whenever I listen to the radio. It is much better, the price you pay will be miniscule compared to what you pay when you hear ads all day and go out and buy what you hear in the ads.

For music, Satellite is a big "ehhh". The quality of the sound is SO compressed that it's not that great to listen to, and an iPOD is a better choice. However, for the news, sports, and talk radio (stern/bubba/etc) there is NOTHING like it, and the monthly fee is well worth the price of admission. The music and no commercials on the music channels (talk/sports/news still have them in limited form) is the bonus.
XM sound is a little more "alive" (Sirius is WAY flat due to seriously agressive compression), but Sirius has much better selection of programming.

iPod is a better choice over Satellite? Your ipod is just as compressed! And as for the compression, Sirius does give higher priority to more popular stations, so while the Big 80's sounds generally like crap, Octane still sounds great. Neither can match the dynamic range of a CD however...

I have XM (well, now both after this deal ), I used to be in the 'why would you pay for this' boat, but it's worth it for me just for the MLB. Then, throw in the comedy/entertainment channels in addition to the music, and the fact you can get a good deal with customer service (I'm on $4/month for the MLB season w/ XM for now) and it's great.
Best Buy finally had the FM direct audio relay in stock ... used two reward zone coupons to bring the price down to about 17 with tax. Wifes car sux with the transmitter.
