You might be better off than those of us that got the free shipping. I just really noticed the wording in the offer and it says "Get the $30 prepaid subscription card at no cost WHEN YOU PAY FOR SHIPPING AND HANDLING. I wonder if they will refuse to give us the $30 card based on this?
Oh well, thanks OP for the info. Maybe I will order another one and pay shipping just for the heck of it. Knowing Sirius and their billing system/customer service, it won't be a problem.
Thanks again.
Oh, I paid for Shipping and Handling, I just paid $.01! You are right!!! What am I thinking? You know how us Postal workers are, so overworked that are brains can't function correctly. |

DealCow said:iPod is a better choice over Satellite? Your ipod is just as compressed! Are you kidding? Some of the Sirius channels may approach a medium bitrate ipod song (it's variable bitrate, so maybe the equivalent of 128k mp3), but MOST of the music on Sirius is not even mediocre-bitrate ipod quality. It's SUPER flat. You can hear it a mile away. That said, Sirius is still worth it for the programming it offers, and you have access to a wide variety of music that would be prohibitive to buy, so it's still a good choice IF you know the limitations and bugaboos going in. (We have 4 radios, so I'm not knocking Sirius at all, just being real). EDIT: From an older FCC application for Sirius (2006), they said the music channels average 50kb/second and the voice channels get 20kb/sec, except weather, which gets 16kb/sec. Even a crappy mp3 is 64kb/sec. Also, it seems like they have been turning up the compression, so circa 2008, the numbers are probably much lower on the less popular music channels.
Check out the Sirius FCC document Right Here and scroll to page 21 to check it out. |

Ok, I tried to check out the terms..Where are you people seeing this service(Sirius)offered for $4/month? -I see $13/ month. So is there a minimum you have to be signed up for in order not to get hit with a termination fee? It looks to me like I would get the radio and 2 months of service for a $.01, with $4 left on the GC. Am I understanding this correctly? Can I just cancel after this time if I choose and keep the radio, without incurring any further charges? Thanks |

I just ordered it. -the $.01 shipping code worked. Just hoping now I don't get sucked into some type of commitment...-that's not how I roll.
Thanks for the information everyone, especially you OP.

Not sure why no one has mentioned this yet. Link through FatCash and you can make $10 off this deal since you receive $10 for each receiver purchased. |

If you go through FW, how the hell do you find it??? I had to go through this same issue on the last Sirius deal a couple of weeks ago (Sirius InV). Click through the link within this thread and add the item to your cart. Then go link through the FatCash link to Sirius (in a separate window) and go to your cart and you should see the item then. If it shows up full price, take it out of your cart in the FatCash link. Then go back into the link in this thread and readd it to your cart. It should now reshow as $0.00 in your cart in the FatCash link. Then proceed to checkout applying the $0.01 shipping code. The total will be $0.01 and wait for your $10 FatCash to apply to your account. Since it's a tiered system, we still should receive the $10 per radio. Worked like a charm on the InV radio, although that one actually cost a little bit of money. However, by the time you received all the gift cards, FatCash, and sold the radios, you actually came out ahead. |

Thanks OPie! Heck for a penny, I'm in. Sounds like i can use the GC to activate and try this free for awhile. Questions: 1. Does this have a headphone or line out port so it can be used with a car that just has an "aux in"? 2. For a car that is pre-wired for satellite, does this kit just interface with it so that it uses the cars antenna and goes direct tot he car's sound system? (I am trying to avoid the FM transmitter feature.) |

Now you tell me... Most of us are smart enough to check the FatCash section before we purchase anything online and don't expect to be spoon fed the info. |
