Got shot down on the $20 HP/Staples coupon from the phone CSR. Coupon says can be used when no other coupon has been applied and the $15 instant savings IS a coupon. Darn! |

Thanks op! Paid $29.05 after coupons and reward check. Purchase online. use all the coupons necessary. Take an old printer to the store and tell them to apply it, manager will call Staples.com to credit you the $50 for the trade in. |

I just got a call form CS rep After my online order. She said I could not use the 20 coupon and the 15 instant so I could process without it or cancel. One more printer for someone else.
I know at 149 it’s still cheap, but to me its the Principle...... |

happybob said:a lot of you are getting this printer just for the toners. i know it's always better to use genuine HP toners, but has anyone tried out third party oem toners and found anything reliable? i can find a lot of oem toners out there that are much cheaper, but not sure which one is reliable. if anyone has any experience with reliable oem toners for this printer, please share. i was thinking about going out to get this printer from Staples also just for the toners, but don't have any spare printers to trade in. plus i don't really print too much colors, so i much rather just replace the color toners one at a time down the road. if anyone knows of a reliable oem brand for replacement toners, please share. it would really save us some hassle of looking out for all these printer deals just to get the toners. OEM stands for "Original Equipment Manufacturer". The key word here is original. For ALL of the toners you could purchase for this printer, the 'original' manufacturer is HP. Any of the other "Brands" are remanufactured, meaning they were used, refilled, and sold under a different label. HP has design patents for all of their printers, toners, drums, etc. (not legally possible for another company to make them). Refilling them is a different story though. Now, with that out of the way, oem toner sets are moving for around $200 on flea bay. The refill kits seem to be in the $70-$90 range. I would rather pay a few extra dollars (I came in at $105 after tax for my printer) and get the real stuff than mess with refilling the toners myself. Your call but I decided to buy. Besides, you could always flea bay the toners and nearly double your money. Good luck! |

Shot down for the 4th time trying to get that elusive $20 HP coupon code. I then bought a second 2600N with the $15 instant and $50 trade in credit. I had a brand new Epson Stylus R280 still sealed in the box, I got free with a deal months ago. I didn't have another old printer around so I totally gutted the printer by opening it up and removing the entire printer mechanism. This left the new but hollow shell. I turned in the shell for the $50. I bought a refurb R280 last night with full inks from epson.com (just for the ink) for $11. I had a $45 credit there for a settlement last year). If I ever need to use the actual R280, I have a spare set up printer guts to go with it. Indycanard |

Landed my second one, $99 after the instant $15 and the HP trading-in. For the trade-in, I stopped by goodwill and picked up a $5 printer. What a wonderful deal for the toners alone. My box looks like it was an original that was labeled as a refurb to help justify the low price as HP and Staples blowout the remaining inventory. |

Ordered yesterday morning and UPS now says it's scheduled for delivery today! I used both the $15 and the $20 coupons and never got any call from a CSR so it's still possible. I didn't have an old printer to trade in and I assume it's impossible to do the trade in after the order has shipped (otherwise I'd walk over to Goodwill and get one)? |

I did one with 30 off coupon online. But no trade in but still just a difference of $20 as most of the stores are not letting use another coupon but with CashBack (*bates) and no tradin printer cost may be differnce is $10. |

Looks like the $20 HP Staples coupon may be dead. Got the confirmation, but no coupon included. |

I did this today. I ordered via phone two days ago and had it delivered today, got the $15 and $20 off. Tonight I went into a store with my recycle printer and asked them to give me the 50 bucks. The manager was kind enough to do a return/rebuy on the printer I had bought, gave me the $50 off and also the other $35. Excellent deal. I bought this strictly for the toner, and it cost me less than one color cartridge. Thx to OP. Oh yeah, one other thing..I had used the $20 coupon before so I signed up for another one with a different email address...the system wouldn't take my new coupon code, said I had already used it, so I called in the order...helpful CSR saw that the two codes were different and did an override for me. |

Me again. Called to order this beast on the phone last night since the store isn't too cooperative. The catch was that I couldn't get $50 off of the printer I already traded in toward a printer I haven't bought yet. UGH! I'd be happy to get this printer for $100. Is there a time-frame to call for CS help? The person I spoke with last night was very nice, but didn't have the answers - got the feeling they were in "source out" mode. So help me, I've never had so much trouble buying something that is a totally legit deal in my life. |

Thx OP and other contributors. I wasn't greedy so I got one OTD for $106.xx. Ordered in store. The transaction stalled when the csr scanned the recycled printer before the $15 off code. A friendly sup had to override, otherwise a smooth transaction. |

Landed #'s 3 and 4 yesterday. Decided that it was worth it to stockpile toners. The only catch was the store manager saw me walk in with 2 printers and promptly told me that I could only trade in one - "HP is being very strict about the 1 per customer rule". Since the deal expired today (on both the printer and the trade in), decided to have a relative go in for the last one. All are showing as processed on the website. Looking forward to getting them in hand. On a side note, for those that are getting calls from CSRs, I am not sure that Staples can cancel orders after accepting payment and taking the old printer. I am not a lawyer but it would seem to me that there is a binding contract and that accepting payment (and charging the credit card on file) is akin to acceptance of the contract by Staples. They can't claim a price mistake or error on their part. If the deal was voided, Staples would need to return the printer that was traded in (and I think everyone was trading in 3600n's that had full toners) - not sure Staples wants to go down that road. |

This is my first time here. The online price shows $164.98. When I called them they said they would honor the $149.98 if I could produce an invoice showing the transaction this week. Can someone send me a copy ? thx |
