When I ordered there was no charge for shipping or tax! So $289 + $109 = $398 for both!!!! That is what you will pay for the dumbells alone anywhere else. It's almost the same as the previous posts where you get the stand for free. Except this time you don't have to buy the stand, and you can still get the dumbells cheap!!
For just the dumbells: added to cart and it took $20 off for some reason to bring the price down to $269, but then added ~$25 for tax (CA) and ~$63 for ground shipping. Not hot...
Added the stand too: no additional discount, but at checkout, there was free shipping (ground, 2nd Day Air, or Next Day!). Sounds good to me.
Thanks OP!
Edit: Saw this:
If you are already a member, save an additional 10% on all online MyStore purchases!*
I signed up for a "mystore" account but didn't get the 10% off. The $20 discount also disappeared.

I think that is if you are a 24hourfitness member, would make it a smoking deal... As it is, great find OP(especially if they ship it at the faster choices for free)!
I've been waiting for a deal on these... Now to tell my wife what she bought me for my birthday...

I would love a set of these, but yeesh, the price.
I had a Bowflex years ago and while it was an outstanding product, I was glad I was able to sell it for $100 less than I paid for it a year earlier.

I believe each dumb bell only goes to a max of about 50 lbs. If you need high weights for dumb bells, you might want to reconsider. I know some of you guys (and gals) out there may be curling 60lbs, per arm.
I bought a set. It did show 2 day and next day air $0.00. I ordered it with 2 day air and printed all paperwork in case this is an error. While its pricey fr dumpbels I bought it as I figure that it will save space and I will use thise things quite a bit.
Two day ship is quite pricey so I would not be surprised if they tell me its an error. Who knows with these online companies. A business friend of mine told me a story on a company he sells to had a price error and they were selling hundreds of an item he gives them at 50% of cost. Took them weeks to find out and they did not give him any issues about paying their bill. He was wondering how they were moving so much of a given item. He drp ships for them.
I picked these up on a FW deal at Sears for $290. These are great weights because I can work out the muscles to failure easily. The wife can also use the same sets of weights. I'm going to pick up the stand with this deal. Thanks OP!

There's the new set of Selecttech for that... Kudos if you can curl up to 90 lbs!
I know its not unreasonable to need dumbells >50lbs... with only casual workouts, I got up to ~60lbs each for dumbell chest press back in high school. If I get up to that point again, though, maybe its time to go to the gym; other than that, for casual workouts at home, up to 50lb is good enough for me for now.
Unlike others, the Ironmaster is built to last for years due to its simply design. I had a chance to check out the Bowflex in person at a Sears. Man, they really feel cheap and unsafe. Sure, it's fast to change the weight but not at the cost of less safety. I wouldn't be bench pressing the Bowflex over my face.
Another major advantage the Ironmaster has going for it is its initial weight. I can dumbbell bench 55 pounds no problem, but have yet to be able to do 75 (currently at 62.5). And if you are much stronger than me, you can move all the way up to 120 each with an additional $189 plus shipping. Try doing that with the Bowflex...........
Ironmaster ships their dumbbells with a rack included.
They are located in Seattle and ground shipping to California was only 4 days.
Just thought I'd like to share my personal experience with less informed people.
Fire away your questions.

I got these for $260 on black friday from Sears. still pricey for dumbbells, but I love em. They are good quality and well-built, much better than cheaper knock-offs i've seen. I use them all the time, and have never had a problem. i'd recommend them if you have deep enough pockets for them.
My order shipped, with Next Day Air... Three separate packages: 63 lbs + 63 lbs + 40 lbs... I imagine that couldn't have been cheap for 24-Hour Fitness...

I could curl 90lb dumbbells... one of my workout partners curls 125's on a regular basis.... 10 reps with each arm, strict form.... then again, he has 22" arms. Thank you for that Selecttech link, those are nice. Also, good deal OP!

Same deal for me... My 24 Hr Fitness I frequent often has broken machines, lights out & nets missing in the basketball court, broken water fountains, and empty paper towel dispensers. So, I am glad I am got em next day for free. My way of stickin' it to the man...
OMG, just for the dumbbells they charge $545 for shipping next day... eek...
Mine shipped out next day air also. I almost feel bad for the UPS people... then I remember how they treat packages... now I hope they don't drop them in protest.
I too wish that they were a little heavier but I'm thinking of getting a smith machine for power lifts such as this using that new Dick's 20% coupon.

I second the IronMaster suggestion. I have the 45lbs PowerBlocks and they are not heavy enough for me.
noman said: I thinks it's a similar price at Costco if you are going to get the stand as well. And since I'm in Cali, there's tax either way.
When I bought mine at Costco (branded Nautilus, parent company) it was with stands for $270 plus tax. It was about a year ago and the cheapest I have seen.

DEAD
Now shipping options are:
Ground ($63.07) Second Day Air ($168.84) Next Day Air ($466.68)
Got mine yesterday. I picked 2 day service FREE rather than going next day in case on any issues. Had no problem waiting an extra day. I am sure head are rolling on this one as 2 day air costs plenty and this stuff is heavy even for ground service.

Just an FYI, these are now $298.50 shipped for both the 552s and stand.
anyone know how good they are with price adjustments? I just received mine and see that they are now 100 bucks less... I just emailed them but curious if anyone else had any past experience with them.

I just found out about this myself. If they dont give me a credit I hope my credit card has one of those price matching things. I emailed them. Post what they tell you. $100.00 less is alt for a few days.

Shipping always kills this deal though. Cause they are heavy and obviously expensive to ship.

Looks like a good deal if you are looking for this specific set and not trying to threadcrap but...
For much less than a $100, from Big 5 sporting goods(or other store), you can two bars, as much iron weight plates as you want and with a quick release fastener (the metal kind you squeeze to release or spinning). It works the same and is MUCH cheaper.
Actually, Big 5 has a 150lb set with two dumbbell bars, one long barbell bar, and quick spin fasteners with iron weights for $99. It still only takes a second to change weights.
Sure, the Bowflex looks cooler and may save you a few seconds but isn't the reason to get them is to work out/exercise? If so, you can probably save over $200 from sporting goods store and can get as much or as little weight as you need.
Again, it is an excellent price for this set and is a hot deal but just wondering why everyone trying to save money on this forum chooses to pay this much for dumbbells. I tried them before at store and they look cool but really don't save that much more time than regular dumbbells with quick release imho... unless you guys know something about these I don't. thanks
