Thanks OP, I've actually never heard of the Basiq line before but it seems reasonable enough.
$28.24 after GCO for a 500W Antec PSU at +70% efficiency, sounds good to me haha.
Usually Antec gives a 3 years warranty, this is only 1, still wary but lets see.

Good info. I'm still using an Antec Smartpower 2.0 350W PSU in a 24/7 system. It runs very quiet because the fans rarely spin up.
Were all Smartpowers bad, or just the earlier ones?

Fan noise is too subjective to come to a conclusion in threads like these. A case fan that's too noisy for me is "silent" to my friend.
I have an Antec Basiq 350W, and compared to my Antec SmartPower 2.0, TruePower Trio, and Earthwatts, it's certainly the loudest.
