Processor's nice, the motherboards limitations killed it for me, since they wouldn't let me credit the motherboards price towards a nice one.

Not exactly. The combo is it's own SKU, but then they itemize the individual components underneath the combo SKU. In order to return the motherboard, they have to return the whole combo and then resell just the CPU at the price listed in the combo. A few people have "claimed" to be able to have done this, but as someone who buys many of these combos and deals with Fry's on a weekly (sometimes daily) basis, your chances are pretty slim of succeeding. Having said all that, you should be able to flip the board on eBay for $20 - $30 net profit, making the net price on the CPU $170 - $180. It just depends on how much your time is worth.
