If all you do is surf the net why spend this money then? Go buy refurbished celeron for $250, or new after rebate for $300.

It may be for that price but keep in mind that the second dimm slot is under the keyboard. While it's not that hard to do, IMO I'd rather have them do the work instead.

Because surfing the net probably also includes sites like youtube, myspace, facebook and other media-rich sites that require a certain amount of power to run smoothly. I'm sure they'd like to 'multitask' and have multiple windows open at once too. A celeron may not cut it in that case.
