You can't win around here. People complain about compilation threads because individual deals get buried. Personally, I prefer the individual threads because you can stay focused on the merits of that particular item and deal. To each his own.

In for one. Good deal, plus Frys.com now apparently has in-store pickup, and I live about 5 minutes away from one.

Would this be a good upgrade for an ECS motherboard with the Intel GMA950 onboard video?
Aside from freeing up 256mb of main memoery, will there be a noticeable improvement over the onboard video?
fry's employees must post in each separate thread you didn't get the memo?
is the 7200gs the one that doesn't do twin out? one of those cars has a hard time doing output on both vga/dvi where the other models like 7300GT (i got rfrom fry's too) didn't
evga rebates still good got another at 8 weeks yesterday.
granthell said: Rebate.................... Thanks, I wish OP's would get in the habit of posting the rebate link in the OP. How many times do people ask for the rebate form a week after the deal is over and the link is gone from the product page? I wish those people would print the rebate form when they ordered, but at least posting the link in the OP would stop those form begging posts.
Note that the rebate is paid in VISA cash card, if you expect cash think twice.
I think it's worth mentioning that I've applied for rebates for Norton products that also offered a cash card, but they ended up sending me a check.
And thanks OP, in for 1.

Thanks. This is a good thought.

BTW this is OOS but they are taking preorders.

According to the features list, it has "nView Multi-Display Technology" and "Dual 400 MHz RAMDACs".
Geez, this Fry's 1 day sale is killin me, as they always do. Just got back with 5 bags of $895 worth of stuff (most FAR) which after rebate will be about $200, including a huge Canon MF6530 duplex laser copier ($99 AR).
I like this new dealio where you don't have to wait 30 mins for the cashier to find, collect, and/or print out all your rebates....they just give you a rebate receipt that has a link to the rebate. Hopefully it works.

How did you choose in-store pickup. I couldn't find this option.

Be Aware!!!
If you jumped in on the eVGA 6200 AGP 8X FAR $45 rebate deal from last week, the promotion #'s are identical to the 7200GS deal, the promotion # are both 08-13833.
Since the rebate specifies one rebate per household, you can only pick one of the two to submit for rebate, the other one will be invalid.

I noticed the same, however, it says "limit one rebate per product, per receipt, per...". I guess it should be ok. Could someone confirm?
Edit to add: the per product language is on the 7200 rebate form.

Actually the rebate form for the 6200 says "Limit ONE rebate per product, receipt, houshold, family, or address." The rebate form I just now pulled off of the 7200GS product page says the same. That "or" means that you can read this as "Limit one rebate per address". Not sure where you're seeing the "per..per..per" verbage. Can you please post a link. I already submitted a rebate for the 6200, so I'm out on this one, unless you can link to the form with the alternate wording.

Parago can look up the rebate and tell you what the actual maximum is, either # of submissions or dollar amount.

The rep confirmed that a person can get one rebate for each product on the list. So I will keep my order alive in the back order status.
I also checked offer number 08-15003, $50 for NAV dvd case w/ any hardware. This one has a household limit of 3. The products have to be on same receipt.

The description says "These video cards have passed rigorous testing and take full advantage of all of the features and capabilities of Microsoft Windows XP.", makes me think it's an older card. I went with the other card since FAR also, this one is $5.00 after rebate (plus tax).

Both cards are old. I suppose the 7300gs might be slightly faster, but I am only buying it as a pci-e backup/tester, I really don't care.
The card is back in stock so hopefully orders will ship today. It turns out one of the items I ordered with it (and which was still waiting since the entire order was held) is now OOS so the order was not going to ship. I called customer service and they've released it so the available items will ship. Pretty amazing that they do not reserve the in-stock items for you so when the OOS stuff is available it can all ship. You could end up with a situation where different items keep going OOS and the order does not ship in time to mail out the rebates!
1. Frees 256M of RAM (turn off turbocache with Rivatuner) Which imho smooths gameplay as it doesn't slow for texture transfers. SEEMS to be smoother TO ME with it off. 2. Can overclock with Rivatuner. In a CM690, the side mount case blows right on the heatsink, so it's notreally passive. Runs WoW so far fine at 610/715 set where stock is 450/533. It's a BIG gain.
That said, I'd get the 7300GS if the price is close as it has twice as many pixel pipelines.
I have the 7050 even and this is much faster. You can even get decent WoW rates by dialing the distance down a bit WITH 2x 24bit FSAA on and running at 1440x900 res. 20something fps roughly with decent eyecandy on and overclocked. YMMV.
