I think that's the Emprex.

I think the lappy is going in and out of stock. I was able to add it a minute ago. Now I can't.

It's been quite a while since Fry's had a sale this good. I just got back from the B&M Fry's in southwest Houston. I got one if the $380 Toshiba laptops plus the FAR Canon all-in-one printer that goes with it. I also nabbed two of the $20 AR Brother 5-in-1 B&W laser printers and a few of the smaller FAR items.

I envy all of you with a Frys B&M

I just came back from Fry's in City of Industry. There was a line in the morning of about 100 people but everyone was going for different stuff so I was able to get mine w/o problems. Lots of hard drives as well as the Zalman 9700 fan. But the stock on the $3 AR Jabra bluetooth is small (on the show floor anyway) and will probably sold out fairly quick. They're well stocked on the games on sale and their video cards stock seem to look the same (no abnormally huge stock on any of the video cards on sale).

Oh dear, a hundred or so at opening? This wasn't supposed to be the prelude to Black Friday. What have you guys done?

anyone know what the warranty on this 22" is? what about the 19" Tyris? (a brand I've never heard of) -- I looked online, and there was no warranty info listed.

There were about 20 people lined up at the Concord CA Fry's by opening time. I was in the middle of the queue but got laptop number 1. I asked at checkout how many they had and the CSR replied about 20. I told by friend about it but they were sold out by the time she dropped by before 9am.

I'll go for the hot dog and coke

I was just able to add it to the cart and pull the trigger.

Just got back from the San Jose Fry's and I've been asked soo many times to sign up for a Fry's card. It was annoying, but at least I got what I was looking for. There was a line for the laptop & desktop deal and it'll probably be sold out soon.

Does anyone know about the ECS G31T-M motherboard with the Q6600 bundle?

Will it work for with a BSEL mod on the Q6600 for some cheap overclocking?

Here's some info:

Pulled from techPowerUp article below- "Overclocking is quite limited on this board. The BIOS has only options to change memory timings and CPU Frequency. Voltage adjustments are not available."

Tweaktown Review: ECS G31T-M - Intel Core 2 On A Budget
techPowerUp :: ECS G31T-M

Newegg.com Reviews on ECS G31T-M

Not sure if BSEL is a good idea on Q6600. Hopefully someone can chime in.

EDIT: Thanks manko for the link to a successful Q6600/ECS G31T-M BSEL mod!

My Vostro 400 Q6600 overclocked to 3GHZ with EASY tape mod. No voltage adjustments needed. Ran 4 instances of PRIME95 each with affinity to it's own core.

ROCK SOLID STABLE. Fast too.

OOS for me also. In fact, I placed an order for a few of these at 5:00am and they cancelled them all, just now saying that they were unable to fill the order out of stock.

I think this is a good deal too. Window Vista Ultimate 64/32 bit with SP1 = $169 - $50 (Fry's gift card instantly) = $119.00 + tax. Most of the eBay sellers sell these for $189. Newegg sells $179 with free shipping.

We can buy this and put on resell it on eBay and keep the gift card.

Just got back from Woodland Hills Frys and man did I go overboard.

Spent almost $1000 Before Rebates on all kinds of gear.

Stuff for me:
$ 49.99 VTech 5.8 Ghz 4 phone combo
$ 19.99 Zalman 9700 LED CPU Cooler
$ 139.99 ($60 MIR) 1500VA UPS
$ 6.00 ($6 MIR) 4 Pack of 80mm Fans
$ 6.99 92mm Case Fan
$ 5.00 ($5 MIR) 120mm Case Fan

New Machine for my little brother:
$179.99 Q6600 ECS G31T-M Combo
$ 19.99 Zalman 9700 CPU Cooler
$ 89.99 ($40 MIR) Crucial 4GB DDR2-800
$109.99 Seagate 750GB SATA
$119.99 ($50 MIR) eVGA 8600GT 1GB
$ 89.99 ($50 MIR) Antec NSK6580 Mid Tower (w/ Antec 430W Trio inside)
- DOH - just realized I forgot to grab the $20 SATA DVD-R/W drive, guess I am going back later today.

$837.90 Sub Total
$ 69.13 Tax
$907.03 Total

I think my wife is going to kill me.
My only saving grace is I will be getting back $211 in rebates.

And the machine for my brother comes to $520 or so after Tax and AR, not including the DVD Drive I will have to go back for.

Building a Solid Rig from posted deals:

PNY 8800GT 229.99...AR 139.99
ECS MOBO & Q6600....179.99
Seagate 750GB SATA HD...109.99
Zalman CNPS9700....19.99
20X Internal DVD writer...37.99...AR:17.99
2GB Crucial DDR2-800 49.99...AR:19.99
Antec NSK6580... 89.99 AR:39.99

Before Rebates: 717.93, AR: 527.93

Q6600 @ 3.0GHZ on this rig would be a very very stout machine.

Some caveats:
-ECS Motherboards can be somewhat flakey, but people have successfully gotten the Q6600 up to 3.0ghz on this mobo
-Crucial Memory, some good, some bad, lifetime warranty though.
-Antec Case and PSU: Earthwatts are hit or miss. Looks like a large chance failure rate on the reliability bathtub curve...but, many are also good. If this Newegg review is right:
Newegg said:Pros: All Antec EarthWatts, NeoHE's, and Trios are manufactured by Seasonic, and that is what the UL (E104405) will confirm as well. The EarthWatts has 80+ efficiency from 20-100% loads, excellent voltage regulation, low ripple, and even though it claims to have dual 12V rails it's actually a single 30A 12V rail. It also comes with a 3 yr. warranty, and Antec has one of the best warranties in the business.
Then it will be an excellent power supply for the 8800GT with the single strong 12V rail.

Awesome computer for 527.93 in my opinion.

hate to crap on your post but any deal with vista anything is pretty much crap. vista is by far the worst os released, even more than me, by microsoft.
i wouldn't put that on my computer even if it was free and came with a swedish massage.
