Seattle (Renton) Fry's Anniversay Sale 2008 Link just went live at midnight PST.

Some of the deals so far:

Looks like Samsung and Sony Bravia TV's are heavily discounted for B&M also. 1 Day Only!

wow if these are valid around my area, i will be running, at least 3 items i really want!!
thanks for the post OP

One important note is the Xbox 360 bundle in the ad is a refurbished unit. It has a 90-day warranty and Fry's will not be offering extended warranties on the unit.

Any idea what the prices are for the Sony Bravia TV's?

Thanks for these!

Does anyone know about the ECS G31T-M motherboard with the Q6600 bundle?

Will it work for with a BSEL mod on the Q6600 for some cheap overclocking?

Very nice. I had no idea, now I will have to get up early to head out to store.

what the hell!! zalman for $20? xfi card for $29AR??antec psu for $10AR?and this is the socal ad which is where i am!!! AAAAAHHHH!!!!

Antec NSK6580 case for $39.99 AR (89.99 - 50) looks good if the rebate comes through. The one on Newegg shows that it comes with a 430W Earthwatts PS.

Here's some info:

Pulled from techPowerUp article below- "Overclocking is quite limited on this board. The BIOS has only options to change memory timings and CPU Frequency. Voltage adjustments are not available."

Tweaktown Review: ECS G31T-M - Intel Core 2 On A Budget

Not sure if BSEL is a good idea on Q6600. Hopefully someone can chime in.

EDIT: Thanks manko for the link to a successful Q6600/ECS G31T-M BSEL mod!

Thanks for the links. I thought a lot of people buying the cheap Dell's with a Q6600 were doing the BSEL mod.

I found one link that said "a friend of a friend" was successfully running a BSEL modded Q6600 on this board. It might be worth a try for what's basically a free motherboard.

Axelerate said: dont worry about antec rebate, got all of them back, might take a few weeks longer, but youll get it

Thanks, that's reassuring. It seems like a great deal if you're in the market for that kind of case.

sure is, just make sure you mail everything in and keep scans of everything, i mean everything just in case

A first-hand report of a successful BSEL mod to 3Ghz on this board.

The Antec NSK6580 I would consider HOT.

It's basically a MUCH nicer version of the NSK4480's that Fry's had for $25 AR a while back IIRC. And those came with an 380W Earthwatts PS.

Probably an Optiarc, which all the Emprex drives are these days.

I've been looking around and can't find the $350 rebate for the Canon MF6530. Any link?

ordered the garmin 200 online for $140 shipped after tax

Anyone have an opinion on the K-World HDTV tuner for $25 OTD? All I see are posts about how it was once $10 AR -- all discussion seemed to be about the iffy rebate, not the quality of the tuner. TIA.

Is the Toshiba laptop a good price? It seems like a decent laptop for me..

carbonfiber said: how about you actually go get the scan, and not post on SD and other sites

deals always show up hours late to FW by which time the SD effect has happened and the item is OOS.

Does anyone know whether the Q6600 included in the motherboard combo is retail or OEM?

Can anyone provide some input on the prices of the different panasonic models that are in the ad? I am in the market for a 50 inch 1080p, but I won't be needing it until the beginning of August. The one for $1399 seems like a complete steal. Does anyone think prices will come down to this point in the next 2-3 months, or should I pick this one up now?

AZImmortal said: Does anyone know whether the Q6600 included in the motherboard combo is retail or OEM?

Retail Box CPU

Hey Kariput, I got a Zen charger and it charged the DJ. The only thing is that the battery charge only lasts two hours! Fry's didn't have any more to exchange so I did a lengthy email exchange with Creative Support (they had me do all these things to make sure the player was okay, even though none of it had anything to do with battery life!). Then I get this final email from them after they refused an RMA.

"Thanks for getting back with us. Let me assists you further.

I understand you would like to fix/change your Dell Pocket DJ.

Kindly be inform that we are not able to fix/change your Dell Pocket DJ
since we only exchange products purchased directly from us. Therefore
regarding your case, kindly exchange your Dell Pocket DJ with retailer
(Fry's Electronics).

Thanks again for contacting us."
