I know at the B&M the FAR 100-pack was for color cases Acknowledged and appreciated. Thank you. I have no access to a Frys B&M location. Closest store is many hundreds of miles away. Still, more and more and regardless the (likely) bogus photo, it appears they will be shipping COLOR cases and not clear, as shown. Am I the only one who cares? Most likely I am! To be honest, at this price I am even considering switching to color. |

Well, I pulled the trigger at $8.57 with NO tax. Gawd that's cheap!! Wish I could double dip. Thank you, OP. Did not want the color cases, assuming that's what these are, but for under 9 cents each I'd have been a fool to pass this deal up. My last purchase of these, clear over black, cost me thirty bucks for 200 cases. And that was NOT for a name brand. |

I just receives mine a moment ago. Color... GRRRRRRRRR On the bright side- unlike some cases that are packaged in card stock and then wrapped in plastic, these have a fairly thick layer of cardboard packaging. Add that to Fry's fairly careful packaging and I've got zero damage. But still... color. Purple? Who the heck wants purple CD cases?! |

But still... color. Purple? Who the heck wants purple CD cases?! It's not a long thread. With all respect, did you read ANY of my posts, above? I repeatedly made reference to color. Obviously there was no way for me to know the specifics of the color. But I did discuss in a couple of posts that there most likely was a misrepresentation in the ad photograph. Also another poster came to my aid and said the ones in the stores are color. I mean, geeez, ya gotta read the thread. For anyone who did, color cases are NOT a surprise. This is, in reality, a discontinued item from Memorex. Memorex has re-released this product with different packaging graphics and a new part number. |

Gizzle said:Shipping is ~9 bucks for me. I've jumped on these a couple of times at Staples when it was b1g1 100pk for 20.00. So this is right in line for what I'll pay for these. I've never noticed those B1G1 deals. I've always waited for the 100pks (50 color & 50 black) to go on sale for $9.99 @ Staples. I see that deal at least twice a year, which is really more than I need.

Does anyone have link to B&M rebate? Hi lucasd98 : Did you get a response from Fry's ? I also bought memorex from B&M. Thanks!

But still... color. Purple? Who the heck wants purple CD cases?! Mine was not packaged well (case loose in the carton) and one corner of the pack (still unopened) shows five with damage. However, they are clear and still a good price. Guess I can live with it, eh? . |

Hi lucasd98 : Did you get a response from Fry's ? I also bought memorex from B&M. Thanks! Yes. Fry's B&M Customer Relations (Atlanta) told me they were working with Memorex to create a rebate offering for store purchases. I provided my phone number and they were going to fax or mail the new rebate form when available. I'm supposed to call them back on Tuesday, 5/27, if they have not called me by then. In the event that Memorex will not agree to a new rebate, Fry's will give customers a "price match" refund at the store. Good Luck. |

awesome, that's even better free out the door (well a week or 2 later but who cares) I should go talk to someone at my fry's location too, since i got both the 100 pack colored jewel cases, and the 256 cd wallet and both say clearly fry's.com only. |

Good Luck. I called Fry's today and someone asked me to just mail the frys.com form and it should be ok but given their broken english and seeming lack of clarity, I called a different fry's and this time around to my surprise a supervisor asked me to give the exact URL in the rebate form and I read out http://image.ak.outpost.com/art/rebates_pdf/5307798_052208.pdf and she said that URL form says purchase from Fry's BM (not frys.com) !!! ... and sure enough when I went there says buy at Fry's Electronics and the promotion # is 08-17421 and postmark is 6/15/08 I went back to the frys.com URL http://images.frys.com/art/rebates_pdf/5307798_052208.pdf and that still says buy at frys.com and promition # is 08-17422 and postmark is 6/22/08 ... so those who buy at frys B&M should use the URL in the rebate receipt. |

ohh wow you're right! thanks for the heads up. It's messed up how on my rebate receipt it shows the "image.ak" link and not the "images.frys", so i guess whoever got it online use the image.ak link, whoever got it b&m use the images.frys link. And they had the memorex jewel cases and leather cd holder sku numbers mixed. |
