Yep, as suspected, the reviews say this is particle board. Always be suspicious when they say "all wood" or similar. Has to say "solid wood" to be real natural wood. Damn marketing semantics.

I received it 2 days ago. It is lovely, very easy to assemble, and comes with all you need. the table is sturdy and is great looking. it didn't get damaged while shipping, may be I got lucky, but I can say that it is well made, I have seen similar ones for $200+ elsewhere (Rooms to go, ashley, etc). it was a super hot deal at $49.99 shipped to my door.

It sounds like you did get lucky compared to the other reviews on Amazon.
I also picked up the table on sale, and find it to be just fine.
It looks nice enough, and is a pretty good size, especially for the price. The only real problem I experienced at all was one step during construction. There is a square of what looks to be plywood, or similar, that you attach to the pedestal via four long bolts. The plywood is then attached to the top, and you attach the feet to the pedestal. For my square of plywood, one hole was drilled out of position and it was a little difficult to get it in place. I took the beat-to-fit approach, which resulted in some wood splintering. They provide large enough washers that this wasn't an issue.
The pedestal is hollow, and you attach the 4 feet with nuts inside the narrow space, which can be a little time consuming, but no more than 20 to 30 minutes total to setup the table.
Overall, I'm happy with it. It's much more than I was expecting, and doesn't wobble or anything when completed.
