Thanks OP! What do they mean by "academic offers"? I'm going to school and all I can provide is a printout of the schools webpage where I can download McAfee. Does anyone know if this would work?

It most likely means that if you bought it or another security program at an academic price, it's still eligible as proof.
Just wanted to add that if you buy 2 different McAffee products, the upgrade rebates can be used against each other. For example, Internet Security Suite 2008 can be used to get the rebate for Total Protection 2008, and vice-versa.
