Rocketfish 700W PSU $99 clearance BestBuy B&M

Clearanced at my local store for $99.

700W, two PCI-E 6-pin connectors, active PFC, 80% or better efficiency.

Listed as 18A on each of the four 12-volt rails..

HardOCP found that the "700W" Rocketfish is actually a Huntkey rated for 650W, and they weren't able to get more than 500W out of it.

Do not buy that piece of junk, even if it's free, because no major computer components vary more in quality than power supples do, probably because each model is custom designed from scratch, unlike motherboards and graphics cards.

500W is generous. Larry is the expert here but I wouldn't take the BB or other house brands if they paid me. Don't skim on power supplies. Great ones when on sale/AR are not expensive at all. Let me tell you, I am overjoyed with this HE500. I haven't really deploy the HE550 as yet but I am sure it is great stuff.
