Does sound like a good deal. Just curious, what do you do with those HD-DVDs when your player stop working?

Got 10 of em today all brand new! 7 of them were Combo disks...so they play in DVD players too... sweet deal. Now we just need more of these for the remaining 400 or so titles!

I got a back up HD-DVD player in my closet. They were so cheap, you can buy 2 of them and they are still half of the cost of a Blu-ray player.

Probably pull my other A3 out of the closet and put it into service...or if I was feeling froggy I could rip them all to my media server using my Xbox HD-Drive (also new, sitting in its box waiting quietly to be called into action).

A bit interesting to note would be the fact that there is French writing on the HD-DVD cases which I didnt expect, but then again I dont really care.

Most of the deals I see for Blu-Ray PC drives are combo drives (they play HD-DVDs).

BTW, my new PC included a HD-DVD drive.

Options include
1 Finding a working unit on Fleabay. Thats where I bought my replacement LaserDisc player.
2 Getting it fixed. I heard Toshiba was going to stock parts for some time. I found out that Pioneer still sells LaserDisc parts for my broken LD player
