I got the confirmation right away but later on it sent mail state it's on back order with "special" remark. I really don't know whether they going to sent it or not. But I did remember have to refill within 21 days after order. I hope it won't take that long before I got it on hand. Any good news? |

I got a DHL tracking number in my latest email from them! Hope it's not just a prepaid SIM card or an empty plastic bag. Thank you for choosing the new AT&T! We're confident that your new AT&T GoPhone® service will keep you connected with your world.
You should receive your new wireless phone in a few days. • Your new wireless number is: 732-xxx-xxxx • Your DHL tracking number is: 14273xxxxxx Again, thank you and welcome to the new AT&T! FW FTW! |

Called AT&T yesterday and gave me the unlock code on my first attempt no problem. I was able to unlock my pantech c150. Just tell them you are going overseas and would like to use the phone while you are over there. atobias said:You cannot unlock this phone without a "subsidy code". The instructions above does not unlock the phone allowing you to use a different carrier.
You can call AT&T and they will most likely tell you that you need to wait 6 months until they will give you a subsidy code. You might get very lucky and get it before 6 months is up. Very doubtful anymore though.
I just pay someone $10 for a subsidy code. Works everytime.
Yeah this phone is cheap and not the greatest but what can you expect for $10 new? It's a nice backup phone or for the kids. T-Mobile also has this phone in their online config site to easily set it up for T-Zones and multimedia text/email. The only downfall is the Cingular logos will remain. So far I haven't found any software or been able to use the Pantech sync software(cable costs $5) to change that. It's just a minor annoyance.

After calling in and being on hold and arguing for about 30min, they finally gave me a subsidy code. I told them I was going to Europe and needed the phone unlocked. After being asked where Europe was (I'm not kidding) I was told I had to be a customer for 6mos before I could get the code. I asked to speak to supervisor and the CSR came back and said I could have the code. After getting the subsidy code, here is the procedure I followed to unlock the Pantech C120: 1-Turn phone off 2-Put in non-ATT SIM card (I used a Tmobile SIM) 3-Turn phone on 4-Phone boots up and says "invalid SIM" or something like that and has a button that says "unlock" 5-Push "unlock" button 6-Phone prompts you to enter "password" 7-Type in subsidy code which in my case was an eight digit number (16677928) 8-Hit Enter 9-Phone reboots and connects to Tmobile service Feel free to try my subsidy code, but I would guess that it is tied to my particular IMEI # or account # in some way and probably won't work for all Pantech C120s. If it does work for you, please post here. |

So what is the truth? If you buy this phone, you MUST activate in on a GoPhone plan, or you will be billed the "$79.99 online discount"??? Or, can you just pop in an existing ATT sim card and use it, without penalty? |
