AT&T Wireless has Pantech C120 Prepaid GoPhone for $4.99 with free shipping, plus no Activation Fee. This is a Tri-band world phone operating at 850/1800/1900 MHz.
Searched old posts and could only found a refurb one for $15 LINK
Got one, thanks op For a while, AT&T was charging back the $85 "Discount" on your credit card if you didn't activate the phone, but I don't see that anywhere listed anymore. In for one...

Without the air time, can you activate the phone? If you can't, will there be a penalty charge from AT&T. TIA ________________________________________________________________________________ It already comes activated and with a whopping balance of $0.01
No, there is no penalty if you never use the phone

Please charge $85 penalty to my prepaid Norton Rebate card I knew that this junk will come in hand one day
Regarding the unlocking, about $10 on eBay would do the trick. The codes are based on the EMI number of the handset so if you do not have a generator (and I do not and I could not find one for free anywhere so far) so you may have to pay for it
this is simply one of the worst ever phones released to the market. horrid in every category. am using one right now and am in the market for an alternative. there is a reason why this is $4. Other than its slim form factor, from my personal experience, its got nothing else going for it.

What do you expect for 5 bucks? I can skip eating a burger at McDonald to buy this phone for backup or donation purpose.

Really???? I just bought 3. Clicked the remove button to remove the $25 air time and brought the total down to $14.99.
i also did remove the $25 air time with a Samsung phone in the past.
I finally open it in Firefox and it let me remove the airtime. But as the poster above noted the price jumped to $10 when I got to the order confirmation screen. Prices have been know to fluctuate so I guess I'll wait and see if it goes back to $4.99.
I have done a similar phone deal from Att, go phones. Never activating. Is there a "limit" to how many phones you can order? lets say ordering 4 more. Anyone have any problems?
I also tried one of these (a few months ago on another deal). Didn't like the voice quality at all - unless my mouth was right up against the microphone the other party could not hear me well. I suppose it might work for someone with a small face in a noisy environment, though.
FrugalFreak said: tlr2us said: how to unlock the phone? I found this but it seems it does not work:
How to unlock this Phone: Enter this code: *01763*6371# - UNLOCK Enter this to exit after unlocking (get back to the main screen): *01763*3640#
so did anyone get this to work? I tried unlocking my pantech from last year with no luck.I did, but only with AT&T's help after 3 months. Nothing posted on the Internet worked.
