Thought I would share this as I don't often run across something that is not already posted here. I just found Philips SHN2500/37 Noise Canceling Earbuds for $5.99 + shipping on Amazon. Actually the vendor is Eek technologies.

I bought several to give out to co-workers, and shipping was about $5 per unit. It seems people love or hate this model, but for under $12 they are probably worth a try.

Comes to $13.84 with shipping for me -- 21 cent savings over Amazon's price (before shipping if you don't have prime).

EDIT: Looks like this seller uses discounted product prices and inflated shipping costs as a marketing tool, based on some of the comments I read. This one particularly troubled me:

"Bought 3 0f these at $2.98 a piece. They charged $18.55 to ship these items which all came in the same small package by US mail. Turns out they charged for each unit as a separate transaction at $5.25 ea.for shipping even though they were shipped together in the same envelope!"

Sorry OP but I can't say this is a good deal. Not your fault though, I got a pair of these a few years ago when they first came out for an over-seas flight at ~$45 and thought,"cool, noise canceling earphones sub 100 bones." Shheeerr CRAP! To have them be "noise-canceling" you have to jam them in so far as to hit the opposite ear drum. Wee bit painful. So for about $13 not bad, but I'd say you're better off saving up for something that gets good reviews.

I have to agree these headphones are not great. The cord from the batter to the buds is too short to reach the average pants pocket and the battery unit pulls the headphones off unless your sitting. They do a so-so job of noise cancellation (as long as you have them in tight enough to be uncomfortable). Also the earbuds fall off VERY easily.

5.99 is a seller to the right. Not obvious at first. I'll pass but thanks anyway.

I bought two of these from woot. They work okay and are better than without the noise cancellation. If you are looking for a cheap one, it's definitely worth the money.
